What to bring
Lawn chair, both cash and credit card, an umbrella in case of a passing rain shower, water (your call) and ear plugs when near the band (again, obviously, your call).

Parking
There is street parking near the park. If there are no spots available you can find free parking at the Maple Grove Parking Ramp, which is about a 5-10 minute walk away from the park on Lakeview Drive N, near the corner of Lakeview Drive and Main Street.

How to find us
I'll be setting up my 5 ft. green pole with dark blue pennant towards the top (the back) of the amphitheater, off to the side on the grass.
Look for that and for me. I look like my photo. I'll be wearing my multi-color jungle leaves design cap. After the music starts look for many of
in the dance area, in front of the performance area.

The Undergroove band was formed after a great bass player from the funk era, the 70s, decided that it was overdue to resurrect the music that put the U.S. on the map as a dance capital of popular music.
Self-descriptors: funk, soul, rock-n-roll; country, rhythm & blues, jam band, influenced by Sly Stone, Doobie Brothers, Janis, Jimi, and CCR.

I've heard them in person once before and I liked them. Big Mike Mothershed sang with them during that performance but that isn't a sure thing, as I understand it.

I'll be dancing to many of their songs. Feel free to join in or not, with or without a partner. It's typically a fun group-dance happening at Lake Harriet.

Parking:
Pay parking in nearby lots. I can usually find a free spot on the street on the neighborhood just to the west of the bandshell area on Queen Ave S.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket, water, cash and credit card (both is best) for parking, or food.
You might want to bring an umbrella in case a passing rain shower pops up.
Mosquito repellant may or may not be needed, but probably not (your guess is as good as mine).
I use ear plugs when dancing near the band (your call, of course).
