It’s spring, y’all, so it’s time for Downtown Asheville Scavenger Hunt 2.0. 🎉
Same fun hunt, all new clues. Whether you joined our hunt last fall or are brand new to the game, come out and give it a try! This is a fun way to explore Asheville and make new friends.
Here’s how it works:
We will gather at the S&W Market at 56 Patton Avenue at 2:30pm. We’ll hang out upstairs — at Periscope — and get snacks and drinks, etc. If you’re a little late, no worries.
We will break up into teams and go over the rules at 3:15pm. Teams will have 10-15 minutes to review the clues, and the hunt will begin at 3:30pm.
Teams will have an hour to hunt for 40 clues scattered across downtown and take a selfie with each clue. *Bonus points for taking a selfie with the clue and a willing stranger. More willing strangers = more points.*
The hunt ends at 4:30pm back at Periscope in the S&W.
It will take 20-30 minutes to review all the teams’ answers and determine the winner.
The prize will be the glory of winning! 🏆
That said, this hunt’s 40th question is a diabolical bonus question with only one correct answer. Get it right, and I’ll buy you (and everyone on your team) a drink.
What to bring:
- Walking or running shoes (the hunt spans from South Slope to the north end of downtown)
- Your phone for taking pics
- A pencil or pen to mark off clues as you find them
- Your competitive spirit!
Parking:
Parking is available nearby at the Rankin (68 Rankin Ave) and Wall Street (45 Wall Street) parking decks, as well as at the Coxe Ave Garage (52 Coxe Ave). Metered street parking is also available around the corner on Church Street.
