Washington Rockville Elks Ldg, 5 Taft Ct, Rockville, MD, USDr. Funkenstein pays a Halloween visit to the Elks Lodge with the grooviest band in town, KatBootyJuice. KatBootyJuice is led by the enigmatic funkmeister, Jimmy Gold, and his five finger bass and his groove masters playing funky favorites from the 70s to the 90s.

930 Club, 815 V St NW, Washington, DC, USIt starts with a vibe, with a jangly guitar, then adds a soulful tenor to create the perfect two and a half minute pop song. If You Don’t Want My Love (YouTube) by Wheaton native, Jalen Ngonda, is such a song. After growing up here in MoCo, Jalen hopped the pond to London to perfect his craft and regularly plays to sold out venues in Europe. He just dropped his second album, Doctrine of Love, filled with pop love songs right out of Motown. This is the chance to catch a rising star for a mere $36! (This show will sell out, so don’t dilly dally).
