About us
Aloha! This is a diverse, active, group for anyone who is interested in meeting new people and having a good time. We organize happy hours, hikes, volunteer events, plopping on the beach afternoons, movie nights and more. Suggestions for events are always welcome!!
We strive to be an inclusive, supportive, kind, politically and drama free group (well most of the time anyway). Everyone is welcome and we look forward to meeting you. In fact if you end up enjoying how this group is run, we hope you consider becoming part of our leadership team.
Considering joining us, please take a moment to review our past events, and member reviews. This is a public group, so you can see members' event comments and event photos too. If you want to be a member, we want you in our ohana.
(please note)
If you decide to become a member of our group, please be advised that membership isn't automatic. There are 3 questions we'll review:
1. You must have recognizable profile picture of yourself, this is non-negotiable;
2. you must acknowledge reviewing/understanding our group description; and
3. We ask you to tell us a little something about yourself.

Bishop Museum After Hours
Bishop Museum, 1525 Bernice Street, Honolulu, HI, USDiscover Bishop Museum in a whole new light.
Join us for this special event.
Sorry for the late posting. Better late than never.This is a great cultural, historical, and science museum. If you have never been, you owe it to yourself! All galleries and the planetarium will be open for this event.
Once a month, Bishop Museum opens its 15‑acre campus after sunset, inviting kamaʻāina and visitors to explore Hawaiʻi’s rich cultural and natural heritage in a vibrant evening setting. During Bishop Museum After Hours, guests can wander through Hawaiian Hall to experience treasures such as Kalaniʻōpuʻu’s ʻahu ʻula (feather cloak) and mahiole (helmet); dive into Hawaiʻi’s extraordinary biodiversity in the Science Adventure Center; and enjoy our newest exhibitions in the Castle Memorial Building and J. M. Long Gallery.
This enhanced After Hours experience now proudly incorporates the former Kaiwiʻula Night Market, expanding our on‑campus marketplace with an even greater selection of local food, drink, and dessert vendors, along with a curated lineup of local artisans and craft makers. It’s the perfect opportunity to support Hawaiʻi businesses while enjoying the museum under Honolulu’s star‑lit sky.
Relax on the Great Lawn with ʻono eats, browse unique handcrafted goods, and enjoy live Hawaiian music throughout the evening. With a special reduced evening admission rate for kamaʻāina, Bishop Museum After Hours offers expanded access to the Museum’s collections, stories, and research — making it easier than ever for the community to connect with Hawaiʻi’s natural and cultural heritage.Come explore, learn, shop, and support local at Bishop Museum After Hours.
