ASRG-D Meetup: Building & Securing the Modern Vehicle
Join us at SAE International on June 1st for an evening dedicated to the core pillars of automotive cybersecurity. This session is designed to give you an inside look at how we design secure vehicles and protect the data moving inside them.
What’s on the Agenda?
Architecture-Centric Cybersecurity & TARA: Rex Struble (VxLabs) kicks things off by explaining how to build security into a vehicle's "blueprint" from day one. He’ll explore TARA (Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment), showing how we identify and manage risks in the early design phase.
Securing the Data Highway (DDS): After a quick pizza break, Ron Oliver (RTI) will dive into DDS (Data Distribution Service). You’ll learn how this technology allows vehicle systems to share data instantly and, more importantly, how we keep those data streams locked down against cyber threats.
The Schedule:
5:30 PM: Doors open for Networking
6:00 PM: Architecture & TARA Deep-Dive (Rex Struble from VxLabs)
6:30 PM: Pizza Break (Sponsored by VxLabs)
6:40 PM: DDS & Data Security (Ron Oliver from RTI)
7:10 PM: Open Q&A and Final Networking
