Upcoming events (1)
See all- Hedgerley and Burnham Beeches - Windsor and District RamblersVillage Lane, SL2 3UY
Join Jo for a scenic 8.5-mile circular walk through the beautiful Berkshire countryside on this gently rolling route - perfect for a relaxed summer Sunday.
We’ll be departing at 09:30am from the village pond in Hedgerley Village Lane. (SU 9692 2872, post code: SL2 3UY, what3words:
plenty.they.went). There is limited roadside parking between the pub and the pond. (car share if possible)
From there, we’ll head out exploring Stoke Common and head towards the beautiful Burnham Beeches where there is a café and toilets. We will have a short break here and you can purchase a coffee if you want to.
The route offers a lovely mix of open farmland and stretches of ancient woodland.
Please bring along a snack and a drink for a stop in the mid way stop at Burnham Beeches cafe
The walk will be at a moderate pace across rolling countryside, there will be stiles and some paths will be uneven or muddy in places, so sturdy footwear is recommended.
A great way to stretch your legs and take in the countryside in good company.
This walk will be led by Joanna R from the Windsor & District Ramblers. Contact: Jo R, 07841 054 918, or email windsoranddistrictramblers@gmail.com
Please see our website for more information about the group. Please note that members of the Ramblers may not register via Meetup so if it looks like there are only a few people walking, the walk will go ahead and others will be there.
Please contact the leader directly if you are delayed on the day or can't find the group (find contact details on our website). We are unlikely to respond to Meetup comments or messages sent on the day in enough time to be helpful.
