🎇 Ever dreamed of having the ultimate 4th of July weekend party with your crew? Well, This Saturday, July 5th that dream becomes real! Come for a few hours or stay for the hole night.
Well start out by hitting the beach/lake or hiking trails. Then We’re firing up the grill for a massive cookout🍔 🌭
🎶 Music bumpin’ all night long
🍻 cornhole boards, Beer pong, flip cup, ready for battle
🏁 Live racing action – if you’ve never been to a race, now’s the time. Bring a chair and $15 cash
🎤 Bonfire comedy under the stars to close out the night

📍 Schedule of Events:
If you want to join beach day
🕜 1:30 PM — Meet at Shadybowl Speedway (for carpooling) you dont have to carpool!! just meet us at the beach at 2
We’ll meet up and carpool over to Kiser Lake for the afternoon. (Just 10 mins down the road) The beach tends to get packed around the holiday, so carpooling is highly recommended due to possibly limited parking. Last ride out from Shadybowl 1:50pm

🏖️ 2:00 – 4:00 PM — Kiser Lake Beach Time
Lay out, splash around, or just kick back! If you’re feeling adventurous kayaks and paddle boats are available to rent by the hour at the bait shack.

🥾 Not a beach person?
No problem — Kiser Lake has some beautiful hiking trails if you’d rather stay dry and explore.

🌭 4:30 PM — Cookout at Shadybowl
We’ll fire up the grill once we get back. Bring your favorite grillables, a side, or dessert to share. Please use “sign up link” so we don’t all bring chips and cookies 😅

we’ll have corn hole boards a wiffle ball bat and a loud speaker to listen to some jams or even do some karaoke if you’d like. Bring at least $15 cash and a chair to help support the venue by watching some of the races.

5:00-7:00pm it is bike night at Shadybowl which means rider and passenger can get in free there will be several different contest for best bikes make sure you go check em out!

🏁 8:00 – 11:30 PM — Race Night! Byob “cans only”
We’ll head into the grandstands to catch some action on the track. Bring at least $15 cash and a chair — Shadybowl is cash only for admission. Byob snacks food etc.

🔥 11:30 PM – Late — Bonfire Comedy & All-Night Hangout
After the races, we’re lighting up the bonfire for campfire comedy, music, and late-night good times. Whether you’re there for the laughs or just chilling with a drink by the fire, it’s the perfect way to wind down.

🛏️ Free Camping Available!
No tent? No problem. Sleep or sober up in your car, crash in a hammock, or find a cozy spot under the stars. You’re welcome to stay the night!

📝 What to Bring:
• At least $15 cash (Shadybowl is cash only)
• Chair for races & cookout
• Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen (for the beach)
• Cash at least $15

• Warm layers for the evening
• Anything you need to be comfy overnight (tent, blanket, pillow, etc.)

We will play OUTSIDE, weather permitting. If the weather is adverse, I will change the location to an indoor facility.

New Session Cost is $10 for Columbus recreation centers Pickle Ball pass good for ALL Columbus recreation centers until May 24, 2025. Many players have been only paying $1 each time they show up. The $1 charge is only good for the first time you play pickle ball at the rec center. After this, you must sign up and get the pass for $10. All repeat Pickle Ball players must get the pass.

I have some extra pickle ball paddles and balls if you don’t have one. Definitely bring your own paddle if you have one and bring some balls if you have them.

Legal Stuff: The event hosts/Organizers are just fellow member volunteers. By participating in any event, you assume all risks of liability and injury inherent in these activities. You are responsible for your own safety and for determining if you are in condition fit to participate. You are also responsible for knowing and abiding by all laws and rules during your participation in any event.

Photos & or Video: by attending these events you acknowledge photos and or video may be taken and used on this and other platforms.

Join us for one of our biggest events of the year—Beach Day! We’re taking over the sand at Alum Creek for a full afternoon of sun, games, and good vibes with your favorite crew.

Want to add to the fun? Bring your own gear!
Volleyballs, Nerf footballs, paddle ball sets, frisbees—whatever you'd like to share or show off!

🧊 What to Bring

• Cooler with ice & cold drinks (hydration is key)
• Sunscreen, towel, sunglasses
• Beach chair or blanket
• Optional: Snacks or sides (there’s a hot dog truck nearby with cheap eats)

🍴 Food Options

Don’t feel like packing lunch? A local hot dog truck will be parked right on the beach with affordable food. Easy, tasty, and nearby!
