What we’re about
*** Important info, please read! ***
Come learn Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition (latest version) in a comfortable and welcoming environment. New and experienced players are both welcome!
We’ll be playing a mix of one-shot adventures designed specifically for new players. Ask questions, learn how to play, and meet new people! Pre-made characters are provided in the event description or you can roll your own on D&D Beyond. Play time is typically around 4 hours. Please arrive on time and keep your RSVP status up-to-date! More details can be found in the individual events.
Some of the common questions we get:
What if I've never played D&D before and know nothing about it? Perfect! Lots of people who show up for Newbie Sessions have never played before. You'll be in good company and we will help you along the way!
Can I spectate a game? Unfortunately, no. We found spectators to be disruptive because they were connecting and disconnecting or forgetting to mute their microphones. We also found that many players don’t like having an audience when they play since it adds more pressure. See our FAQ for more information.
Which races and classes can I play? This may depend on your DM, but generally anything officially published and playtested is acceptable. See our Player Resources page on each event for more information.
What is a one-shot? What if I missed the last event? That's ok! One-shots are events that are completed in a single sitting. Each game is independent from the others. Just don't sign-up for the same event a second time because it's the same story.
What if I'm not very creative or bad at roleplaying? No problem. We've got you covered! If you're struggling with something, the DM will step in and help provide some ideas. Many new players struggle with the openness and freedom of D&D. We'll be there to support you throughout the entire game.

[Home Game] Help me learn a new TTRPG system - Magical Kitties Save the Day
Arapaho Park, 7800 S Adams St, Littleton, CO, USSpotlight game of "Magical Kitties Save the Day", a TTRPG where you play as cats with magical powers trying to help out their favorite human.
New to "Magical Kitties Save the Day"?: Good. No need to bring anything. Experienced players are welcome too but I'll cater to the newest newbie. It's super straight forward. No need to bring characters, paper,... or even dice. Story telling is driven using decks of cards.
You can look it up here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGcQXoNkS-k
or here: https://www.atlas-games.com/magicalkittiesWhere: My House! Which is very near Arapaho Park. RSVP to this event, and I'll DM you my address through meetup Messages. Please make sure you've enabled the messaging feature. It seems that many users disable it to avoid unwanted DMs... Feel free to disable it again once I've sent you the address if you like. Thank you for the patience. I just prefer to keep my address private... yet I still wanna run games on meetup...
New to TTPRGs?: Good. No need to bring anything. Experienced players are welcome too but I'll cater to the newest newbie. It's super straight forward. No need to bring characters, paper,... or even dice.
Attendance: The event is free to attend. Attendance is capped so we have the right amount of people. Please RSVP with a higher level of certainty than you would for an online event because we can't just reach out to the Discord community to back-fill no-shows.

Ladies Networking: In-person D&D 5e Adventures @ 7 pm MST
LDS Church - Easter Building, 1939 E Easter Ave, Centennial, CO 80122, United States, Centennial, CO, USThis event is just like the regular Thursday games, except we've changed the title and banner to encourage women to make up the majority of the player-base at this event.
Pro Tip: It's worth it to waitlist for these games. Waitlists of players encourage DMs to step up and run extra tables. We pull in waitlisted players quite often.
One of the reasons we love D&D is its ability to bring people together from a diverse set of demographics into a shared storytelling environment. This isn't an attempt to create a separate women's league/campaign or separate regular game night that excludes the gentlemen. Rather, it's a periodic special effort to reach out to folks that might feel uncomfortable just showing up to a typical pick-up game without knowing anyone in advance. We hope you'll come, learn to play D&D, get familiar with the venue, and meet some friends that you might see around in regular D&D games. Maybe even swap contact info and RSVP together in the future?
New to D&D?: Good. We all were once. Just come. No need to bring anything besides yourself. We'll set you up for the night with all you need to play and answer all your questions.
D&D Characters: We’ll be playing with level 3 characters. You are welcome to create your own level 3 character before hand (using standard published rules). Please plan to play a character of a LG, NG, or CG alignment (it just works better for a one-shot with strangers). Please also create your characters using the standard array system for attribute selection. If you're a newbie, you're welcome to just show up and we'll have some pre-generated characters you can use.
If you'd like to print your character sheet in advance, I've uploaded some to this google drive folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1FQTNcVJZiqNkZbfMqtCTL5NHgl7hxf2V?usp=sharingWhere: This event will be hosted at the LDS Church Building at 1939 E. Easter Ave. in Centennial, CO 80122 in a big room on the NORTH side of the building. If you enter the building from the north side (the door with steps leading up to it), it should be just down the hall past a few closed doors and on your left. We'll have some signs that say "D&D" on doors.
A very inclusive group: While the event is at a church building, it's still NOT a religious group. There will be no religious pressuring. We're a very inclusive group of people built on Meetup and focused on "having fun playing D&D". Most attendees, historically, are not LDS church members. Please come play with us!
Venue Rules: Similar rules to when we hosted games at the public library:
- Please be respectful of the building
- Please help us clean up trash/chairs/tables at the end of the event.
- No Alcohol/Tobacco/Marijuana/Vaping/Smoking/etc in the building.
- Snacks are OK (and NOT required).
- It's our "privilege" (Not a "right") to use the building as a venue.
Transport: Please arrange for your own transport to/from the event. Please don't assume that someone at the event will be comfortable giving a stranger a ride home... even after playing in a delightful D&D game together.
Attendance: The event is free to attend. Attendance is capped so we have the right amount of people. Please RSVP with a higher level of certainty than you would for an online event because we can't just reach out to the Discord community to back-fill no-shows.

[Home Game] Dreams & Machines - Drop-in/out - Mini-campaign - Newbie Friendly
Arapaho Park, 7800 S Adams St, Littleton, CO, USDreams and Machines is a TTRPG Setting that uses the 2d20 rule system by Modipheus. If none of that makes sense to you, that's ok. Just come play.
Over the holidays I plan to run a mini-campaign using the Dreams and Machines Starter Kit. It's a very polished, very verbose starter kit with fancy cards and props and things...
The Setting: I like to describe this setting as having very similar vibes to the video game Horizon: Zero Dawn. The "Machines" aren't really dinosaur inspired, but everything else is pretty close. You play as tribal humans scraping by in an agrarian society in the shadows of massive deactivated machines that sometimes wake up and kill everybody. It's like Sci-fi... but you're running around with spears and armor you tinkered together from robot guts.
No Commitment - Drop-in/out: I'll be running a short campaign story that should probably take us through November/December. If you can't make it every time, that's fine. This will be a first-come-first-serve RSVP race each week for seats. I'll post the next event at the end of each session and present players can sign up immediately if they plan to come next week. If you see an empty seat, then you can pounce on it and take over from a player that had to miss a week.
When: This'll be on Sunday nights with a few exceptions for when I'm travelling for the holidays.
Where: My House!
