About us
Get some rest from the city and enjoy nature along hiking trails around Gothenburg. There are many hiking trails through woods, along lakes and coast, on nearby archipelago, or even through small marsh.
Area around Gothenburg is mostly flat and there are not many hills around, so hiking here is quite easy.
Hikes are chosen in a way that most of them will have a starting point and end point within Göteborg (Västtrafik zone A ), so it is easy to access with just public transportation.

Kinnekulle Weekend Hike
Göteborgs Centralstation, Göteborg, SEKinnekulle Weekend Hike
Join us for a wonderful two-day hiking weekend at Kinnekulle, one of Sweden’s most beautiful "table mountains" (platåberg). Late May is the absolute prime time to visit this area, as the forest floor is usually covered in a blanket of blooming ramson (wild garlic), filling the air with its distinct aroma. This hike is perfect for hikers who are comfortable carrying a full backpack with camping gear. We will cover some distance, but the focus is on enjoying nature and soaking in the views and not rushing to the finish line.
Day 1 we start from Blomberg train station and walk too Hellekis Säteri where we fill up the water bottles before the night. The plan is to set up the tents some where in the Grand Quarry the swedish variant of grand canyon :)
Day 2 we explore more of Munkängarnas nature before we clime uphill to se the view from the tower. After this we walk to Hällkis train station where we then take the train home.
