Hike Georgia

Near and rising high above Georgia’s mountain town of Clayton, Pinnacle Knob offers some remarkable vistas from several enormous, sun-drenched rock outcroppings near its summit. The views are dramatic, stretching to Black Rock Mountain on the near horizon, and the southern end of the Smoky Mountains in the far distance.

And, the journey there does not disappoint. A solid climb to the summit will be refreshed with a couple waterfalls. Early into the hike, we will pass Martin Creek Falls and then later on we will pause at the double-tiered cascades of Martin Creek Falls. Bring your lunch/snack to eat at Pinnacle Knob and enjoy the views noted above before heading back the same route.

This is not a beginners hike and the pace is brisk. Bring plenty of water.

A hydration stop afterwards at Universal Joint in the town of Clayton is likely.
