What we’re about
If you are in the Salt Lake City area and interested in meeting up with other photographers with the same interests as you (FASHION and BEAUTY PHOTOGRAPHY) then you have come to the right group! We will all get together a few times a month to do fashion shoots with models, makeup artists and wardrobe stylists. We can all learn from eachother in this group! This group is for building your portfolio!
This is a sister group to LA and OC Fashion Photoshoots which I have been doing for 5 yrs now!

WELCOME! READ THE RULES PLEASE!
Tawny Horton puts a LOT of effort into organizing these events, and sometimes there are fees, dependent on what and where we are shooting. Please don’t moan about this; it is what it is!

-RULES for the meetup group
If you come to a meetup you will have to agree to these Rules.
The Organizer will provide a Model list with email addresses for you.
1)
Send high res unwatermarked photos to the MODELS/MUAS/ anyone else involved. You can have your watermark on small web sized images but please refrain from using a watermark on the high res photos you send to the models/muas. They need unwatermarked photos for their portfolios!
2)
You must provide at least ONE image of every model you decide to shoot at the meetups. You do not
need to shoot every model that comes, but please provide at least ONE image to the models you worked
with. This is extremely reasonable considering most meetup groups want you to provide 10 or more photos per model to them.
You need to do this within 2 weeks of the meetup. Please dont forget to send the photos to the other creatives we are working with. The Makeup artists/ hairstylists and fashion designers.
3)
Remember these are meetups with a lot of photographers and models. There is no one on one shooting
at these meetups. Please be aware that there will be multiple photographers shooting one model at a time.
(if you do not want another photographer to join in on what you are shooting then you must pay the model
$1 per minute - if you are not paying the model then other photographers are welcome to join in.)
4)
Please try and respect your fellow photographers, dont get right in front of anyone or push and shuv.
This should be a simple rule that you as humans understand! wink emoticon
5) Please upload your photos to the meetup.com page. Search for the event and press upload photos.

This is a portfolio-building photoshoot, not a workshop or class.
That said — I’ll be there if you have questions, need help, or want guidance on anything. You’re also welcome to learn from your fellow photographers by observing how they work and interact with models.

A dreamy lavender field photoshoot experience

( lets meet at 630pm in the parking lot to get ourselves organized and try to carpool over to the lavender fields.) Shooting portion starts at 7pm.Step into a fairytale and wander through rows of blooming lavender in this stunning midsummer portfolio-building shoot.
This photoshoot meetup will take place during golden hour at the dreamy Young Living Lavender Farm in Mona, Utah. Models will be dressed in raw-edged, tattered gowns and barefoot or booted for a storybook editorial vibe.## 📸 What to Expect:

✔️ Romantic boho-fairytale vibes — soft movement, natural beauty, glowing light

Where the Wild Fae Wander – A Camping Photoshoot Experience
Step into an enchanted realm where the wild fae roam free!
Join us for a mystical photoshoot filled with ethereal fairy vibes, flowing fabrics, and nature’s magic.
We’ll be shooting from 5 PM to 8 PM, capturing the golden light as the forest transforms into a dreamscape.
Afterward, stay and camp for the night under the stars. Bring your own camping gear and food, but I’ll have a fire going with hot dogs and marshmallows for roasting. Gather around for a cozy kum ba yah moment by the fire, sharing stories and embracing the night’s magic. We may even have a morning shoot to capture the fae in the first light of day. Come wander where the wild fae roam—this will be an experience to remember!photographers who RSVP will just need to show up by 5 pm ready to shoot! You can come in at 3pm though if you would like! I have planned everything for you! The models, makeup artists, and wardrobe! You may bring your lights if you would like.
While this shoot is for portfolio building and not a workshop learning experience, I will be there if you have any questions, or you can learn from your fellow photographers by watching them!
