Hike Sannoto 三ノ塔 (Hard for Beginners)
Hadano Station, Hadano station, Hadano, JPMy favorite hiking course with view of Fujisan for at least half of the way up and at 3 different peaks! Hiking course of ~6.5 hours, which includes time for lunch and breaks. Elevation climb of ~1,300m up but it will be steep in some parts so beginners who are not used to hiking up mountains may find this to be of hard difficulty.
Rough schedule:
8:30 - Meet at Hadano station 2nd floor outside ticket gate.
8:35 - Bus to Minoge (Don’t be late, next bus is 9:04 and it will be crowded with people going to Yabitsutoge)
9:00 - Minoge Bus Stop 312m elevation. Toilet break. Start hiking from here.
10:30 - Yabitsutoge Bus Stop 765m
12:30 - Ninoto peak 1141m
13:00 - Sannoto peak 1204m; late lunch b/c view is better
14:00 - Karasuosan 1136m
16:30 - Okura bus stop 286m
17:00 - Hadano station (it leaves every 15-20 minutes)

Notes:
- No smoking and no bear bell(s). I know there is a concern about increased bear attacks around Japan, especially in the northern regions, but bells have not been shown to be consistently effective. Group conversation and walking sounds are said to be better deterrents. Most of this trail is popular but not crowded so we should be fine.
- By coming to this event, you are agreeing that you are responsible for your own safety. I have no survival or first aid skills.
- Bring 1.0-1.5L of water/soft drink and a lunch. Bring more water if you think you will need it.
- Weather can change unexpectedly, so dress in layers.
- I recommend a towel in case you get sweaty or dirty. Your shoes will get dirty.
- No meetup fee thanks to Liliya (group owner).
- If the weather forecast looks bad, I will cancel the hike.
