If you want to travel and hike with people who are unpaired in their life, you’re over the age of 40 & want to share adventures with other unpaired people, making TRUE friendships along the way, WE ARE FOR YOU!
(NO PLUS ONES ARE EVER ALLOWED UNLESS THE EVENT STATES SO! I am not a travel planner for you & your BF, GF, spouse or family members. Any attempt to bring or invite your +1 to our events will be a reason to be removed from our group.)
Membership fee is $50 and not pro-rated, ends Dec of 2026. Send me via messages your Venmo, Apple Pay or Cash App search info & I’ll send an invoice to pay. This will be the same method you send your fee for single events. Cash or Checks are NOT accepted. All fees must be paid IN ADVANCE or you are immediately moved to “not going”.
There are NO REFUNDS for ANY REASON WHATSOEVER, for anything you Pre-pay for, whether you drop off an event or get kicked out of the group. You will agree to all rules linked on the sign-up membership page otherwise your membership is denied.
ALL NEW MEMBERS who sign up for land events MUST attend the Feb “New Members Event” and hike all four days and attend all evening events to qualify. Without doing that you may not sign up for any land events 2 days or longer. If you miss it you won’t get another chance until 2027.
There will VERY FEW LOCAL NEVADA listings, mainly out-of-state adventures, approximately 12-20 events per calendar year. Your $50 fee will cover any amount of events you’d like to attend.
You will be given ONE MULLIGAN for dropping off an event inside the deadline posted or being a no-show. On your second, you are removed from our group. No refunds even if you have paid for an upcoming trip.
A passport is required to travel with ABU.
This is NOT a dating or singles group so any attempt to ask anyone out for such purposes inside of TWO SEPARATE EVENTS will get terminated from our group.
A FULL Visible face photo is REQUIRED to join. If you do not have one you are instantly denied membership.
Every single Meet Up group off this platform on our state, that “claim” to be travel groups, NONE OF THEM DO. But ABU is different. Click the links below & see what we are about.
