🏐 Skill Level Guide
This guide is based on my coaching experience, community standards, and input from trusted colleagues. It’s meant to help set expectations and create balanced sessions. If you feel something is off, I’m always open to refining it.

🟢 Beginner (B)

  • New to volleyball
  • Learning rules, movement, and basic skills

  • Not yet ready for structured rallies

🟡 Beginner‑Plus (B+)

  • Basic understanding of rules and positions
  • Can serve and pass with some consistency
  • Beginning bump‑set‑spike attempts
  • Developing movement and awareness

🔵 Low Intermediate (L)
Low Intermediate has a wide range of skill levels, so to keep sessions balanced and make sure everyone is placed correctly, I’ve divided Low Intermediate into Group A, Group B, and Group C. This helps match players with the right pace, consistency, and game awareness.

## 🔵Low Intermediate – Group C

Entry‑level low‑intermediate players who understand the basics and can execute simple skills. They are still building consistency, positioning, and confidence with faster or harder balls. Good with ball handling.

  • Pass accurately 50%+
  • Pass easy and semi‑hard serves with control

  • Pass accurately 65%+
  • Hit some sets; occasionally with power
  • Set good passes
  • Move around the court with ease
  • Developing court awareness

## 🔵Low Intermediate – Group A

Competitive low‑intermediate players who are consistent in most skills, move well on the court, and understand rotations and team systems. They can handle faster play and contribute reliably in all phases of the game. Great at ball handling.

  • Serve 75%+
  • Pass accurately 70%+
  • Hit with some power and accuracy (60%+)
  • Dig and block consistently
  • Able to set 80% of passes
  • Move with ease and good speed
  • Strong court awareness
