What we’re about
This is a Meetup Group for those who are inspired by Africa.
And, for those who seek adventure with an affinity for the great outdoors. Underpinning the Group will be a motivation that we would like to help those less fortunate than ourselves; in water, in health, in education and in opportunity.
In its early days, the Group will host events and talks and meals that allow us to share our joy of Africa and to increase our knowledge of perhaps the greatest of them all. As the Group grows, we intend to organise trips (eg Climb Kilimanjaro - see "Pages"), adventure challenges, volunteering opportunities, educational projects and the like. The well being and destiny of the Group lies in our own hands; it is an opportunity for self development.

Magi 4 Afrika, itself, is an initiative that helps bring safe water to the people of sub-Saharan Africa. In Africa, a thirsty little boy or girl dies every minute of every hour, every day. It is a shocking indictment that one in eight of our brothers and sisters has no safe water; one billion people do not have access to safe water; 370 million of these live in sub-Saharan Africa (that's exactly half the population of Europe).
Magi 4 Afrika, (Swahili for "Water for Africa"), hopes to raise £25,000 to help provide safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation to disadvantaged communities in sub-Saharan Africa. Magi 4 Afrika is about community-led fund-raising, helping to bring people together in support of a great cause. Currently, we are raising £3,500 to fund a rainwater harvesting plant for the under-privileged and remote rural community of Nadasoito, near Arusha in Northern Tanzania.

UNDISCOVERED MOROCCO
Marrakesh Menara Airport, Marrakech, MAUNDISCOVERED MOROCCO … just £549 per person
Saturday 7 March 2026 to Saturday 14 March 2026
WE RETURN AGAIN TO THIS DRAMATIC LANDSCAPE, sculpted by millions of years of volcanic activity. You will see a geological chaos of buttes and pinnacles, deep gorges and mountains contrasting with the survival of lush and prolific green valleys, date palms and almond groves.
OUR INCREDIBLE EIGHT-DAY ADVENTURE explores the Jebel Saghro, a dramatic and remote landscape between the High Atlas and the Sahara. Along the way, we camp under brilliant night skies, see red-black volcanic rock formations contrasting with lush green oases whilst learning about the culture and lifestyle of the Berber nomads. The video features highlights from previous adventures in this extraordinary landscape:

WITH SO MUCH OF MOROCCO’S TOURISM directed towards the Imperial cities, many of the country’s treasures remain undiscovered, ignored by guidebooks. Much of Morocco’s beauty is found along pathways connecting the mountain ranges that form the bulk of North Africa’s most visited country.
This privately organised adventure is exclusive to Fitness Adventures Midlands; please message for a full trip itinerary.

DATING BACK CENTURIES, MOROCCO IS A COUTRY OF INTRIGUE; an explosion of colour, tradition, soul and spice. Morocco conjures an image of ancient medinas, rolling deserts, blue painted hillside towns, appetising tagines and Berber men wrapped in blue turbans. Yet, beyond this, the diversity is extraordinary; towering peaks, landscape scenes from another world and hospitality that knows no bounds.
A FULLY QUALIFIED AND LICENSED AMAZIGH GUIDE leads our adventure. The Atlas Mountains are home to the Berber people; their real name is Amazigh, meaning 'free people'. We gain an insight into the life of these friendly people as we enjoy their culture, traditions and hospitality. You see traditional adobe villages where people live in ways unchanged for generations.
THE PRICE INCLUDES MOST MEALS on the trek with the Moroccan cuisine a highlight (see full trip description for minimal exclusions). All photographs that accompany this description were taken on our previous Jebel Saghro adventures.
OUR JOURNEY BEGINS AND ENDS in the vibrant imperial city of Marrakech, the spiritual heart of Morocco; a city like no other. Unravel the infamous Medina and Jemaa El-Fna, where you witness the true culture of Marrakech with street sellers, fire eaters and snake charmers.
