What weβre about
I started this group to find other African Americans who want more outdoor adventures such as hiking, zip lining, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, bike riding, sailing, hot air balloon rides, bi-plane rides, overnight camp outs, weekend getaways and more. The purpose is to bring together men and women who want to escape the daily humdrum and replace it with some fun, excitement and sometimes new and challenging experiences that are exhilarating, leaving you with lifetime memories. Our adventures will also help build your confidence, help you get or stay fit and healthy, all with a group of friendly and supportive people. The African American Adventurers is for you if you are Black and ready to live life to it's fullest! Join us today...

See all- Easy Hike Mini Grand CanyonNeeds location
Providence canyon State park
8930 Canyon Rd, Lumpkin, GA 31815Some say that the hike around the canyon is moderately challenging, while others say it's not very difficult. The hike includes both ascents and descents, and some say the hike back up is strenuous. The 6.6-mile Providence Canyon Backcountry Trail Loop is considered moderately challenging and takes about 2.5 hours to complete. Parking is $5 per car. What to bring: Water: Bring a water bottle and snacks. It can get very hot in the summer, especially in the canyons. Sun protection: Bring a hat and sunscreen. Footwear: Wear waterproof boots, as the canyon floors are often wet and muddy. Jacket: Bring a rain jacket or zip up in case you stay late in the day, especially during the cooler months. Camera: You can bring your own telescope for astronomy nights. Camera bag: Is it dog-friendly? Yes, the park is dog friendly, but they must be on a leash no longer than six feet. Some recommend bringing clothes, towels, and shoes for dogs to play in the red clay
