About us

We're a group of people who love getting outside to search for fossils and learn about the natural history around us. Whether you're a seasoned collector or someone who's just curious about what's buried in the ground beneath our feet, you'll fit right in here. We organize regular outings to local fossil sites where we can hunt together, share what we find, and talk through the discoveries with folks who are genuinely interested in what we're looking at.

Most of our members are just regular people who enjoy the hunt and the community aspect of doing this together. We're not overly technical or exclusive—if you want to come find some rocks and learn something cool, that's enough. We'll help you figure out what you're looking at, point you toward good spots, and make sure you know how to hunt responsibly and legally.

Beyond the field trips, we like getting together to swap stories about finds, maybe bring in speakers who know more than we do, and just hang out with people who get why this stuff is interesting.
