About us
Annecy Film Club is a friendly group for anyone who enjoys movies.
We meet for a movie and usually grab a drink afterwards to talk about it (in ENG and/or FR). You don't need to be a film expert to join :)
Whenever possible, we'll watch movies in their original language, with French subtitles.

Annecy Film Club est un groupe convivial pour toutes celles et ceux qui aiment le cinéma.
On se retrouve pour voir un film ensemble, puis généralement autour d’un verre pour en discuter (en anglais et/ou français). Pas besoin d’être un expert en cinéma pour nous rejoindre :)
Dans la mesure du possible, les films seront projetés dans leur langue originale, avec des sous-titres français.

For our fifth meetup, we'll be watching LE CORSET, directed by Louis Clichy.🏆 Special Jury Prize at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival (Un Certain Regard), as well as the Jury and Audience Awards at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival!
Set in the French countryside, this beautifully animated film follows Christophe, an 11-year-old boy who must wear a medical corset while growing up on his family's struggling farm. As he discovers music and friendship, he begins to find his own path.
We'll meet a little before the screening, watch the movie together, and for anyone who's up for it, grab a drink afterwards to talk about the film.📍 Cinéma La Turbine (Cran-Gevrier)

Pour notre cinquième rendez-vous, nous irons voir LE CORSET, un film d'animation réalisé par Louis Clichy.🏆 Prix spécial du Jury à Cannes 2026 (Un Certain Regard), ainsi que Prix du Jury et Prix du Public au Festival international du film d'animation d'Annecy 2026 !
Dans la campagne française, Christophe, 11 ans, grandit dans une ferme familiale en difficulté. Contraint de porter un corset médical, il tente de trouver sa place dans un monde qui ne lui facilite pas toujours la vie. Entre musique, amitié et découverte de soi, ce film d'animation sensible raconte le passage de l'enfance à l'adolescence.
