About us
PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE.
Every person you love was once a stranger.
At some point, someone said hello. Someone took a chance.
Balancers exists to create more chances for life to happen — more people to meet, more experiences to have, and more moments you couldn't have planned.
We run social experiences across London designed to give people a natural reason to interact.
Most people come on their own. Friends are welcome too.
What happens at Balancers
Our flagship London Social Night happens every Saturday.
From 7:30 PM until around 9:00 PM, Conversation Spark gives everyone a natural reason to approach and interact with people they don't know.
From around 9:00 PM, the night opens up. Keep talking, grab a drink, join Beer Pong, UNO or Giant Jenga, or go find someone you met earlier.
Hosts are around throughout the night to welcome people, help first-timers get started and step in when useful.
And Saturday is only part of Balancers.
We also create experiences built around games, sport, volunteering, creativity and conversations that go beyond small talk.
Different experiences. Same idea:
We create the conditions. You take the chance.
Who you'll meet
There isn't one type of Balancer.
You'll meet people with different backgrounds, accents, jobs, personalities and stories.
What matters more is the attitude: openness, kindness, respect, curiosity, and a willingness to put yourself out there.
The practical bit
Our flagship Social runs every Saturday evening in central London.
Most Balancers events are designed around a 25–45 crowd, although individual events can vary.
Check each event page for its exact time, location, age guidance and ticket details.
What we expect from each other
Openness — Be willing to say hello.
Kindness — Treat people well.
Authenticity — Be yourself. Let other people do the same.
Respect — If someone isn't interested, that's the end of it.
Inclusivity — Different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives are welcome here.
On messaging — please read this
Balancers is a community, not a dating app.
We have zero tolerance for harassment or private messages that make someone uncomfortable. If you wouldn't say it respectfully in person, don't send it privately.
If something feels off at an event or in a message, tell a host or ambassador. We take it seriously and act when necessary.
Discrimination and disrespectful behaviour towards other members aren't tolerated — at events or online.

Balancers Community Volunteering - Clothing Distribution
Dominion Theatre, 268-269 Tottenham Court Rd, Fitzrovia,, London W1T 7AQ, GBHi Balancers,
We believe community is about more than meeting new people. It's also about showing up for those who need support.
As part of our ongoing partnership with Refugee Community Kitchen, we're inviting you to join us for a different kind of volunteering session. This time, we’re joining Refugee Community Kitchen (RCK) at their Goodge Street service to provide essential clothing to people who need it.
👕 HOW IT WORKS
We’ll meet at 6:00 PM in front of the Dominion Theatre.
From there, we’ll cross the road to Primark and split into small groups. Each group will be given a few essential clothing items to find and buy.
Once we’re done, we’ll walk about 5 minutes to Goodge Street, join the RCK service and distribute the clothing while their team serves food.♻️ HAVE CLOTHES YOU DON’T USE ANYMORE?
You’re also welcome to bring a small amount of clean, good-condition clothing that you no longer use and would be happy to donate.
Please only bring a few items, as we have very limited storage space and may not be able to take large bags of clothes.🍻 AFTER VOLUNTEERING
For anyone who wants to stick around, we’ll head to a nearby pub for a drink after the session. A chance to relax, chat and get to know each other a little better.💷 CHIPPING IN
We’ll collect contributions from the group and use the full amount to buy the clothing that evening.
If you can, bring some cash — but there’s absolutely no pressure to contribute much. Even £1 helps, and you’re just as welcome to volunteer regardless of how much you contribute.💬 Join our Volunteer WhatsApp group for updates and coordination:

We’re teaming up once again with the incredible Rueda Libre community for another Balancers Social Night: Salsa Edition.

7:30 PM – Conversation Spark
We'll kick off the evening with a fun conversation activity designed to make meeting new people feel natural. No awkward introductions—just a simple way to get everyone talking from the moment they arrive.
Once the activity finishes, the evening becomes more relaxed. Grab a drink, keep chatting, or challenge someone to a game of Uno, Jenga or Beer Pong before the salsa lesson begins.
9:15 PM – Salsa Lesson
Time to come together for a fun beginner-friendly Salsa Cubana session led by our friends at Rueda Libre.
Whether you've never danced before or already know a few moves, this is simply another fun way to meet people, laugh together, and step outside your comfort zone.
10:00 PM – Social Dancing & Mingling
The lesson is over, but the social continues.
Keep chatting, dancing and meeting new people as the night flows naturally with Salsa Cubana music and a relaxed social atmosphere.

Sunday Social Sports 🏐🏸🏓
St. Aloysius College Sports Hall, N 6 5LY, off Thornbury Square, Hornsey Ln, London N6 5YN, UK, London, GB🚨 Spoiler alert: Balancers is for people willing to put themselves out there. Show up, get involved, meet people you wouldn’t otherwise meet. Come alone, come with a friend, just come open to the experience. If that doesn’t sound like you, we might not be your vibe. 🚨
Meeting new people doesn’t always have to happen over a drink.
Sometimes it’s easier when you’re doing something together.
After playing volleyball together this summer, we asked the community what else you’d like to play. The answer was pretty clear: you wanted more.So we’re trying something new.
🏐 Volleyball
🏸 Badminton
🏓 Table Tennis
Every Sunday, we’ll have 2 hours to play, move around and meet people along the way. We’ll start the session with badminton and table tennis — an easy way to warm up, get moving and meet a few people.
Then we’ll bring everyone together for volleyball, with a quick warm-up and some basics before getting the games going. Not feeling volleyball? No problem. Badminton and table tennis will stay open, so you can keep playing what you enjoy or switch between sports throughout the session.
Come solo, pick up a racket or join a team. We’ll sort the rest.Never played before? Perfect. This isn’t about being the best player in the room. It’s about getting involved, having fun and getting to know people while doing something together.
Come solo. Pick a sport. Meet some people. Come back next Sunday and do it again.### Good to know
