See all- Shawarma at Shawarmaji then Wednesday walkShawarmaji, Santa Clara, CA
Let's get some shawarma/falafel this Wednesday evening then go for a walk. As a heads up, this is the first time we'll be getting food at a somewhat sit-down place, so it might be a bit chaotic. To keep things simple, place your order when you arrive or order ahead of time using the link below so you don't need to wait, and we can get a table (or multiple) together as people arrive. The ordering/table part might be tricky, but the walk part after should be simpler since we should have everyone by then. If you're not interested in eating/already have dinner plans, you can also join us for just the walk.
Here's their page https://www.theshawarmaji.com/
and here's a link to order online https://www.theshawarmaji.com/s/order?location=L6QBH83Q9SEFC&menu=trueTentative agenda
6:45-7:45 order, eat, talk
7:50ish: head out to walk
7:55-whenever: walk and talkIf you came for the ice cream tacos, this spot is about a 5 minute walk from there so you can probably park at the same place again. This means we're close to Santa Clara University and Santa Clara Mission again, so we'll walk over and check those out after.

The organizers of this meet-up are unpaid volunteers and not expert guides. All participants agree to assume 100% responsibility for their own safety, conduct, and well-being and recognize that possible hazards exist while participating in outdoor (or any other) activities, and agree to participate solely at their own risk. Let's go to Willow Glen for their second annual Glen Fest! There will be lots of food and drinks and 2 live bands! I included some info below, but follow the links for more details. Attendance to the event is free but parking can be tricky, so look at https://www.willowglen.org/contact and pick one of the parking lots shown there.
Also keep in mind that this event runs from 11-6, but I likely won't be there the entire time, and even when I am there, finding the group in large open events like this is tricky! If you show up late/can't find us post a comment including where you are and what you're wearing/how we can find you, and we'll come and get you. You can also hang out and and enjoy the music by yourself, since there's lots of people, food, and drinks - feel free to walk around and mingle with others. You're also free to bring however many people you want - this is an outdoor event with no hard capacity, but Meetup limits the guest options.
If you haven't been to Willow Glen before, it's got a small town feel and lots of local eateries/dessert spots. Willow Glen Creamery is a good spot if you've never been! You can also look through https://www.willowglen.org/ and https://www.willowglen.org/wg-events
Willow Glen also has a farmer's market every Saturday from 9-1, so if you get here early, you can scoop some local produce too! https://uvfm.org/willow-glen-saturday
