We take a walk in Berlin to meet new people or people we already know 😁

It's a way to spend a few hours together on a Sunday afternoon.

How it works?
The concept is very simple:

• We meet at Alexanderplatz Station at 14,00 o'clock (we use the Whatsapp Chat to find each other: I will post there my exact location in the station)
• I wait for people for 10 minutes, till 14,10, then we start to walk direction West, crossing Museum Island and Mitte 🏛️🏘️
• We reach Tiergarten and we will cross the entire park, seeing some of its interesting points🌲🌳☘️
• We finally reach Café am Neuen See:

  to sit down together to take something to drink or eat 🥐☕🍪
• The total length of the walk is about 8kms

I consider that the event will last in overall around 4 hours (2 hours of walk and 2 hours at Café am Neuen See), but people are free to stay together longer, if they want 🙂
What I provide is leading the walk and the people at Café am Neuen See, but I do not force anyone to stay shorter or longer.

I do not provide a "personal support" for people who arrive after 14,10 (do not write to me expecting "private support").
You are responsible to check for the weather and decide if come or not.

We will visit Dresden, one of the most beautiful German cities 💒 👑 🏘️ and the Sächsische Schweiz National Park ⛰️☀️

We take the RE7 train at Berlin Ostbahnhof at 08,56 AM (direction Senftenberg) 🚉😀 and arrives to Dresden Neustadt at 11,56 AM (changing train in Senftenberg).
The trains are takeable with the Deutschland Ticket.

The trip will last 2 days.
You can bring your own food🍔 and drinks🥤 or take something in Dresden.
My plan is, to come back to Berlin, to take the train on Sunday at 17,57 from Dresden Neustadt, but everyone is free to come back earlier or even later.

What we visit on Saturday: the Dresden City

• Neustadt of the city
• Frauenkirche 💒 (free entrance and 10 euros to go the tower, for people who want)
• Kreuzkirche (cheaper tower entrance fee 😜)
• Brühl’s Terrace 📸
• Zwinger Palace 👑 (Courtyard, Gardens and Terrace are free to visit, Museum comprising the Old Masters Picture Gallery and Sculpture Collection, the Royal Cabinet of Mathematical and Physical Instruments, and the Porcelain Collection. cost 18 euros)
• Theatreplatz
• Fürstenzug
• Castle Square 🏰
• Walking along the banks of the Elbe 🌊
• etc.

After about 7-8PM, when we finish visiting the places mentioned above, we can divide and each group can decide what to do for the evening and night ⏾
For the night: EVERYONE CAN DEDICE AND MUST TAKE HIS/HER OWN ACCOMMODATION 😊😊 (I am not responsible for this)
Then we meet again on Sunday morning at the Dresden Hbf at a given time (I will share on Whatsapp)

What we visit on Sunday: the Sächsische Schweiz

• We take the S Bahn train from Dresden Hbf to Kurort Rathen (Deutschland Ticket valid)
• We take the Medieval Tour to the Rock Castle Neurathen and the Swedish Caves: https://www.komoot.com/tour/3068349869 🌳⛰️
• We take a couple of breaks during the Hike (it must be relaxing)
• A ferry must be taken 🚢🌊 (3 euros round trip)
• If we have more time before coming back to Dresden, we can extend our hike and visit a few other places in the area 😊😊

We finally come back to Dresden with the S Bahn. to later on come back to Berlin ☀️☀️

I do not provide a "personal support" for people who do not take the indicated train from Berlin to Dresden.

We take the HBX train that departs from Berlin Gesundbrunnen at 07,02 AM and arrives to Ilsenburg at 10,29 🚉😀
The train is available also in Lichtenberg, Wannsee and Potsdam.
I attach the screenshot with all the stations.
The train is Deutschland Ticket valid.

Once in Ilsenburg station, we take a local bus to save a bit of walking (since the actual Hike will be already very long 😆💯).

We then start our Hike and this is the path 🚶‍♀️🚶

Bring your own food 🍔 and drinks 🥤, we will take breaks where we deem appropriate.
IMPORTANT: please consider that the Hike is 24kms with 860 meters of elevation difference, come only if you know that you are physically fit 😊
People who do not want/can make the whole Hike can join and decide to come back earlier without making the whole route 😊

On the way back it seems there are no local buses, in the late afternoon, from Parkplatz Ilsenburg Brockenwanderung to the station, so maybe we should walk 2 kms more.

A direct train to come back from Ilsenburg to Berlin is available at 17,31 (HBX), but maybe (or even probably) it will be too early for us.
Other connections are anyway available, changing train in Magdeburg 🚉
