Hello Black Love Family:

Since the rain is washing out our kayaking trip, let’s pivot to a fun backup plan. We are pushing the meetup to Sunday, July 19, 2026.
If it rains that day too, we are not letting it ruin our vibe. Instead, we’ll head indoors to build up our paddling muscles with an upbeat water aerobics session, followed by a delicious lunch together.
Here is the game plan for our rain-or-shine backup itinerary:

🏊‍♀️ Part 1: Water Aerobics
We will tackle a high-energy, one-hour workout in the shallow end. Don't worry ladies and gentlemen—your hair is safe from getting wet! And this class is good for non-swimmers as well!

• Time: 10:00 AM sharp (This is a popular class, so please don't be late!)
• Cost: $11.00
• Note: I will send a message to confirm if we are using this backup plan if it rains on 7/19.

🍽️ Part 2: Post-Workout Lunch
After working up an appetite, we will head over to grab some amazing food and catch up.

For real-time navigation, use Google Maps GPS.

• From Dayton (~30 mins): Take US-35 E to Exit 51A. Merge onto US-42 S toward Lebanon. Follow US-42 S for 8 miles. The destination is on your left.
• From Cincinnati (~45 mins): Take I-71 N for 27 miles to Exit 28. Take OH-48 N for 4.5 miles. Turn right onto US-42 N. Drive 12 miles. The destination is on your right.
• From Columbus (~1 hour): Take I-71 S toward Cincinnati. Take Exit 65 for OH-435/US-35. Turn right onto Old US-35, then use the right two lanes to merge onto US-35 W. Take Exit 51A for US-42 S. Follow for 8 miles. The destination is on your left.

🚣 The Water Route

• Distance: 3.5 miles on the Little Miami River. **This is the shortest route
• Duration: 90 minutes to 3 hours to complete.

💰 Rental Fees & Rules
All fees are payable directly at the venue. Shuttle service is included in the price.

• Kayak: $45 per person
• Canoe: $45 per person
• Raft: $45 per person (minimum 3 people required)
• Note: Life jackets are provided. Due to insurance restrictions, this venue cannot transport privately owned watercraft.

We’ll start at the Contemporary Arts Center and explore the many amazing works from talented artists.
Afterward, at 4:00p we’ll take a short walk over to BRU Burger Bar for an early dinner, drinks, and more good vibes.
