About us
Are you a woman who loves to read and talk about short stories and wish you had a book club with like-minded women? Do the names Roxane Gay, Shirley Jackson, Grace Paley, Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, George Saunders, Amy Hempel, Deesha Philyaw, Tony Tulathimutte, and countless other short story writers get your heart pumping? Love to read but finding it hard to commit to a full length novel? Look no further! This short story book club is for you.
This book group is for anyone who identifies as a woman or nonbinary. We will meet virtually via Zoom for 90 minutes (stories to be discussed are noted below). We will generally read and discuss 3 stories from a given collection each month. Group moderator is a published short story writer with an MFA in creative writing and avid fan of the form.
