We read Astral Codex Ten, a blog that spans across rationality, science, psychiatry, medicine, ethics, genetics, AI, economics, and politics. https://astralcodexten.substack.com/about We also largely merged with the local Less Wrong meetups.
You should join if you're interested in any of these topics and want to nerd out with other nerds! You don't have to read the blog to come to our events. Everyone is welcome - please feel free come even if you feel like you're "not the type of person who normally would fit in at such events".

There exist Facebook and Meetup.com and LessWrong groups, but we aren't reliably about crossposting there.
We fairly reliably have meetups Wednesday night and Saturday afternoon or evening.
Astral Codex Ten was formerly called Slate Star Codex. The author, Scott Alexander, has written over 1,500 posts. Don't worry, you're not expected to have read all of them!

Run By: Taymon & SkylerScott Alexander sometimes publishes a review of the California ballot, and will even sometimes publish local reviews of other state/city ballots. There are many like it, but this one is ours.
You’ll want to bring a laptop for this one. Show up, do some research on the options for this year’s ballot, compare your opinions everyone else’s via moderated discussion.
