Tony is a retired professional social worker, National Lecturer for the Theosophical Society in Australia, and has devoted more than fifty years to the study and practice of Theosophy and the world's wisdom traditions. His lifelong spiritual journey has included living with Buddhist lamas in the Himalayas, studying Vipassana meditation under S. N. Goenka, and attending the Theosophical Wisdom School at Krotona, with his current focus on the transformative power of the heart chakra and accessing higher states of consciousness through the quantum field.

Chara Scroope is a PhD candidate in Sanskrit literature and philosophy at the University of Queensland, an award-winning scholar who has received more than 20 academic honours, including the Theosophical Society Perennial Philosophy Prize on three occasions. She also teaches at the University of Queensland and the Australian National University and is the co-author and co-editor of the Cultural Atlas, an SBS-supported online resource exploring over 75 cultures and eight world religions.Tea, Coffee and Conversation to follow!

π Brisbane Theosophical Society | 355 Wickham Terrace, Spring HillIn this lecture we reflect on the impact cosmic energies have on our soulβs evolution in its quest for perfection; and our role as soul-embodied light-bearers aspiring to greater compassion, harmony, love and tolerance amidst these turbulent times. We do this by exploring the emerging astrological paradigm that focuses on understanding the natal chart through the lens of the soul rather than the personality. When we consciously activate this blueprint as a guide for our Higher Self we are able to more fully honour our spiritual potential, and become divine instruments in the collective journey towards Oneness.
Nicky, a second generation Theosophist and qualified astrologer, is a National Lecturer for the Australian Theosophical Society. She began her spiritual pilgrimage in the Himalayas at the age of 21 and has since studied and practised various sacred traditions and taught the Ageless Wisdom for many years. Tertiary qualifications in psychology and business supported her career as an academic lecturer, CEO of the Queensland Tourism Industry Training Board and director of a management,training, counselling and astrological consultancy. She thrives on communing with nature and exploring and sharing the power of the heart as a gateway to love and wisdom.
