Café Français is not a traditional class—it's a salon. Every session, a maximum of 8 advanced French-language speakers gather for 90 minutes of rich conversation guided by Brigitte, a native speaker who loves ideas as much as you do.
No textbooks, no homework, no grades.
Think of it as your weekly Parisian coffee date—minus the jet lag.

🎨 During this Café Français, we'll discover a selection of seaside scenes in art and, above all, you'll talk.
Why are you so drawn to the sea? What does it evoke for you—holidays, freedom, childhood, solitude, escape?

## About Your Host
My name is Brigitte Aflalo-Calderon.
I was born and raised in Morocco, lived for many years in the United States, and now divide my time between the south of France and the U.S. For more than twenty years, I have taught French to adults, including at the Alliance Française, the Princeton Senior Adult Center, and the Arts Council of Princeton. I have also taught in Montessori schools when living in Washington, D.C.
When I'm not teaching, I'm a mixed-media collage artist. Through art, I have learnt to look closely, ask questions, and appreciate different perspectives—qualities I bring to every French conversation.
