What we’re about
Welcome to the Cambridge Film Forum, a monthly discussion group dedicated to the love of cinema!
Think of us as cinema's answer to your local book club. Each month, we pick a current movie release and meet up to share our thoughts on it. Along the way, we tend to talk about other films we've seen lately and occasionally plan group trips to the cinema.
Please do join us for a drink and a lively debate if you've seen the film.
You can find us in the Alexandra Arms from 7pm onwards on the second Wednesday of each month.

Cambridge Film Forum: Your Top Films of 2025
The Alexandra Arms, 22-24 Gwydir Street, Cambridge, GBIn this special Cambridge Film Forum, we will be counting down the top ten films of 2025, as voted for by you.
Which film will be crowned the people's champion? Will it be one of the year's lauded horror films, Weapons or Sinners? Perhaps it'll be an indie darling or one of 2025's surprisingly well-received blockbusters. Most importantly, will the biggest streaming release of all-time, KPop Demon Hunters, trouble our top ten?

How to vote
- Poll: You can select your choices via our Voting Form.
- Deadline: The polls will close on Sunday, 30 November to give us time to tally your votes.
- Attendance: You are welcome to attend this event and join the discussion even if you didn't submit a list!
Please note that we will be discussing each film in our list in detail, and while we will try to avoid major elements of the plot, we are always at risk of entering spoiler territory.

Etiquette
We pride ourselves on lively but respectful discussions, and you are welcome to contribute as much or as little as you are comfortable. However, please do stay on topic and give everybody an opportunity to share their thoughts. There will be opportunities both before and after the main discussion to discuss broader topics.
Meanwhile, the Alex kindly provides us significant seating space at no extra cost, so we encourage everybody to support the venue by purchasing a drink or snacks upon arrival. (You can also use the pub's website or scan a QR code to get food and drink delivered to the table.)
