About us
CAT group bike rides are geared toward nurturing new riders who are discovering the enjoyment of bicycling. We highlight local bike routes that serve fun and useful destinations like bakeries, coffee shops, local businesses, parks, etc., while utilizing the network of trails and streets.
We also offer special rides that promote biking to work and overnight touring such as bike camping trips/bikepacking.
CAT is an IRS 501(c)3 non-profit organization and here's our mission:
CAT–Coalition for Appropriate Transportation strengthens our Lehigh Valley community and our environment through bicycling, pedestrian accessibility, and public transportation.
CAT works to improve mobility for everyone. Better bicycling, walking/ADA accessibility, and public transit develop a stronger, smarter economy and a higher quality of life. Sustainable transportation reduces traffic congestion, counters climate change, and offers a healthier community for everyone.
CAT serves adults & children of Pennsylvania’s Lehigh & Northampton Counties.

Bike through Jacobsburg + Township Trails
Jacobsburg Parking Lot - Filetown, 466 Filetown Road, Nazareth, PA, USLet’s explore different trail systems connected with a few roads. We’ll start on the Plainfield Township Recreation Trail, ride a few quiet roads to the Bushkill Township Trail, and finish by going through Jacobsburg State Park.
Ride Details:
⚠️ This ride will be on shared paths in the park. Some of these paths are chunkier gravel or grass. You don’t need a mountain bike, but you can certainly ride one. However, I wouldn’t recommend a road bike for this ride.🚲 Social Pace - no-drop ride. There are a few short climbs, but plenty of spots to regroup and stop for snacks and water.

Let's get together to ride leisurely along the Saucon Rail Trail. We will begin our route at Water St, Hellertown and pedal along towards Coopersburg......THEN....drum roll....
