About us
A supportive community for people who’ve ever been told they’re acting in a manner that is disconnected from their culture. Many of us grew up in environments where we were the distinct minority, and as a result don’t always display the behaviors or social cues others expect from us. Living at the interface of multiple cultures, we may not code-switch in expected ways and often hold perspectives that don’t fit neatly into any single identity.
This group is a safe space to share experiences, connect with others with similar upbringings, and celebrate the full spectrum of who we are—without judgment, labels, or stereotypes. Here, your identity is valid, your story matters, and you belong.

Eat, Drink, Laugh Play, Repeat @ Press: Coffee, Crepes and Coffee
Press, 400 Hillsborough Street Suite 108,, Raleigh, NC, USMother Nature completely snowed out the month of January, but I’m feeling optimistic about this month—even with the groundhog calling for six more weeks of wintry weather.
Being somewhat lazy, I’m going to cut and paste what I had last time =). * PLEASE NOTE, we are trying out the Raleigh location*

Every journey begins with a single step… and every meetup starts with a first event. Turnout is always hard to gauge, so I wanted a venue that was free, had parking options, and offered flexibility when it comes to food and drink.
I landed on PRESS:
https://pressccc.com/locations/raleigh/The event itself will be a mix of icebreakers to get everyone chatting, plus some light social games. The headline game will be Poetry for Neanderthals—a simple, fun option that works great for small groups. I’ll bring a few other games as well.
I’ll arrive early and set up somewhere in the shop with a placard marking the table I’m claiming. We won’t have an official reservation since I’m not sure what turnout will look like for these first couple of events, but I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone.
Hope to see you next Sunday (Feb 15th)!
