Our next book club pick was nominated for the Hugo Award for best book, the Locus Award for best fantasy novel, and the World Fantasy Award for best novel! The Curse of Chalion by Lois McMaster Bujold follows Cazaril, a traumatized soldier returning from war who finds himself assigned as the princess’ tutor. While navigating the devious royal court, he also must help her try to lift the curse that hangs over the house of Chalion. This epic high fantasy novel has themes of healing from trauma, magic, and political intrigue. Can’t wait to see you there!
