Come out for some easy hiking and an optional dip in the waterfall/swimming area at Rock Island State Park. It's a pretty place with a lot of different areas to explore

no fee to park or enter.

The parking lot is decent but can get full, so carpooling is encouraged for the 1.5 hour drive.

What to bring:
Shoes with traction
Snacks
Swim stuff if swimming

Moderate to difficult hike going down and up to the waterfall. Come prepared, know your limits and abilities.

TEMPORARY RELOCATION!! IRON MAN is running that weekend and Riverfront Pkwy will be closed, so this just makes it a little easier..

Those that have been around a while might remember this event. It's been running for a few years now. Last year I moved the event off Chatt Social, over to the Urban Discovery group. I thought with the resurgence here, it might be worth bringing it back for y'all to join us as well.

The breakdown:
I'll bring a bag of games to Granny's. For games and things to do, the venue also has:
•pool tables ($1/game. ATMand quarter machine available in house)
•darts
•and a few arcade games

There is a full bar and bar food available. Mimosas are $20 UNLIMITED MIMOSAS until 7pm!!

I've had as few as 5 people show up, and other times upwards of 35 people join me. There's plenty of space for us to split up and get multiple games and whatnot going. I look forward to having y'all join me/ us (the rest of the folks from Urban Discovery -no age limit in that group jsyk-) and enjoy an afternoon of Food Fun and Games.

They do not charge us to bring in big groups, though we do ask that y'all make a purchase of food or drink while you're hanging out as a way to say thank you for allowing us to take over the space for a few hours.
