About us
Let's get together for fun activities (dinner, drinks, trail runs and hikes, performances, you name it!) with other local women who have chosen to remain child-free*!
We're not anti-kid, we've just chosen a different path, and in the family-centric Boulder area it can feel like an isolating one sometimes. Let's celebrate the freedom that our lifestyle affords us together!
Addendum: If you choose to join our wonderful group, please know that I reserve the right to remove you if you display a pattern of no-showing or last-minute cancellations. When you sign up for an event and either bow out less than 48 hours in advance or simply don't bother to attend, you: 1) Take a spot someone else wanted, 2) negatively impact restaurants/bars/other establishments that set aside a predetermined number of spots for our group. Very uncool. Of course unexpected obstacles come up for all of us, but if flakiness is a pattern for you, I'll need to remove you for the sake of fairness to others. I hate having to say this, but the last few months have shown me that it's necessary.
*Please note that the women in this group have chosen not to have/raise children. This is not the group for you if your adult kids have moved out of the house and you’re looking to spend afternoon without the company of your friends’ toddlers.

Sugar Britches Concert at The Barn in Longmont!
Location not specified yetThe Barn is a completely unique music venue in Longmont, and I can't wait to check out Sugar Britches with you there!
Full disclosure, I have never seen this group before, though I listened to a few of their songs and the lyrics are hilarious. Here's a description: Sugar Britches is a blend of mischievous high-brow honky-tonk with eclectic instrumental accompaniment and clever lyrics, written by Brian Johanson and performed by a cavalcade of characters. Combining good ‘ol country heartache along with snarky folksy wit, Sugar Britches has been playing non-stop throughout Colorado and the great West in bars, parking lots, weddings, bat mitzvahs, rodeos, amphitheaters and regular-ass theaters since 2017.
At any rate, the barn is worth a visit all on its own! From their website:
"The Barn is a private, intimate concert and dance venue near Longmont built from the remains of an old barn. It has great sound and a sprung floor. The barn is not available for rent or for commercial purposes. All events are by invitation only—if you have reached this site through some accident of fate, go ahead and sign up, and we'll look forward to meeting you and counting you among our friends."
Buy your ticket ($20) here, and don't delay! It's a small venue and will likely sell out. Once you sign up, you'll get a confirmation email with the address and directions. They keep their location a bit on the QT; I can tell you that it's 15 minutes north of central Longmont.
The Barn's events are BYOB and BYOS (snack), so pack anything you want to enjoy along with the music. I plan to arrive a little early and I'll post more about how to find us when I get there.
