About us
Welcome all cinema and theater lovers!
This group is open to anyone single, coupled , or married. This group will concentrate on the arts with main stream movies, foreign films, art house films and other stage productions (plays, story-telling events, symphonies, etc.). Basically anything that happens on a stage or in a theater.
I tend to host most events at the Michigan and State Theaters in Ann Arbor, but also do venture out to the Detroit area. If you would like to host events outside Ann Arbor on a regular basis, I can make you an event organizer for you to host your own events.
There will be food and drink opportunities either before or after the show. Please check the comments under the event posting to see suggestions for food or drink and the time.
I post events well into the future, but I wait to announce them until a few weeks before the event. Feel free to sign up for anything that is posted. For ticketed events, if I say I have purchased my ticket, have no worries about purchasing yours so far in advance.. As the event time nears, seats sell out for some of the ticketed events, so plan on getting your ticket early.
The Michigan and State Theaters have a great membership program with free movies. Please look here for the membership levels and prices. Premium and Gold Memberships get you free movie tickets.
You must have a picture of yourself in order to join this group.
See you soon!

Dapper Koala Buster Moon presides over a once-grand theater that has fallen on hard times. An eternal optimist, and a bit of a scoundrel, he loves his theater above all and will do anything to preserve it. Facing the crumbling of his life's ambition, he takes one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the world's greatest singing competition. Five contestants emerge: a mouse, a timid elephant, a pig, a gorilla and a punk-rock porcupine.
