About us

We are a community of creatives who enjoy a good drink (cocktail, mocktail, or otherwise!), peaceful settings, and the joy of making things. Our mission is to provide a drama-free escape from our busy lives through art, exploration, and genuine connection.

### What Makes Us Unique?

Unlike larger social clubs, we focus on small, intimate events. We believe the best connections happen in manageable groups where everyone can actually talk and create together.

### Our Vibe & Values

This is a safe, creative environment built on active participation and community contribution.

  • All are welcome, provided you are here for creativity and community.
  • No one is welcome if they are trying to get dates or make romantic connections. This is NOT a singles or dating group. We are here to craft and explore—not to matchmake.

### What’s New?

We’ve evolved into Crafts and Adventures to better reflect our growing community. While we still love our "Crafts & Cocktails" roots, our new focus includes:

  • Creative Gatherings: Dedicated time for personal crafts and DIY projects.
  • Adventures: Art shows, live music, museum trips, and exploring new local eateries.
  • Inclusive Sips: Drinking is always optional; the focus is on the company, not the glass.

***

### Group Rules & Expectations

  • Communicate Honestly & Proactively: Treat everyone with respect, both in person and on the message boards.
  • Manage RSVPs Diligently: Please update and confirm your RSVP 24 hours before an event. Members with a pattern of late or unannounced cancellations will be moved to the waitlist. If an emergency happens, please message the host directly.
  • Stay Active: Members inactive for more than 120 days will be removed to keep our roster current (you are always welcome to reapply!).
  • Private Events: For events at private homes, the address is provided via Meetup messaging by 9:00 AM on the day of the event.

### The Essentials

  • Where: Locations range from Lake St. Clair to Southfield.
  • When: Events are posted regularly, and your feedback/suggestions are always encouraged.
