Do you want to get out of the house, try new things, and have a lot of fun meeting other active friends your age? Come join us around Columbus for casual, unique and exciting events at the coolest venues in town.
Here's what the group offers:
- Activity - Our goal is to host at least 8 events per month, adding more as we discover more interests. Most of our events allow casual conversation in a fun environment. Even activities with music, games, or sports have social time built in.
- Social Outlet - No more excuses to be home and bored.
- Quality People - Members have to be approved. Singles and couples may join but you must have a membership with a current picture of yourself on your profile. Also, we charge a small yearly admin fee to help keep up with meetup fees and costs managing so many events. (Note: all new members get a 30 day free trial before fees are required)
- Friendship - Finding friends with common interests is encouraged. You must be in your 40s, 50s, or 60s to be a member of this Meetup.
As your organizer, I promise good communication and organized activities. In return, I ask that members keep their RSVPs current.

Celebration at the Station summer concert series runs June through August every Thursday evening. All concerts feature live bands from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Dine at one of the Old Hilliard restaurants. Now in its 25th year, The Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival, in Gahanna, gathers world famous groups and performers at a single place for you to enjoy the best Blues & Jazz in Ohio. The three-day cultural celebration for all ages, features world class musicians on 3 stages, local food trucks and beverage stations, treats, artisans, and more. Tickets are $15 for adults. Parking - The Creekside Parking Garage will be open throughout the festival weekend. Entrance is located near the intersection of Mill and North Streets; accessible only by traveling south on Mill Street.
Event parking rate is $5 and collected at entrance to garage. Cash ONLY is accepted at garage entrance for parking. Although off street parking in the Creekside District is permitted, it is very limited and not recommended.
Shuttle Service pickup will be at the following location:
AEP Ohio 700 Morrison Rd., Gahanna, OH
Shuttle Service Hours: Saturday: 1 PM - 12 AM
BRING: Be sure to bring a chair since there is limited available seating. Also $ or paycard for food and drink.
