37 Practices of a Bodhisattva
Wujimu Studios, 2888 West Liberty Ave, Dormont, PA, USEvent description:
A weekly study and practice group on the 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva, Gyalse Tokme Zangpo's 14th-century text on living a life of compassion and clarity. We meet Sundays at 4:00 PM at Wujimu Studios. Our first session Sunday, August 9. Each session is self-contained with meditation practice, reading the text, and discussion about applying it in real life so anyone can join any week and get something from it.The series: Over the late summer and fall we'll explore the entire text, verse by verse, from the preliminaries through the heart practices of compassion to the final precepts. We're a group of people looking for spiritual approaches to feel better and to help create a better, more compassionate world. No prior study is needed and you don't have to be a Buddhist. Just have a willingness and intention to feel better and create a better world. It's part of a wider initiative helping groups anywhere study the text together, with free resources at 37practices.space, offered in devotion to Garchen Rinpoche.
