See all- A Morning Connection: with the earth, ourselves and each otherWhite Rock Trail Park, Plano, TX
I know it's Father's Day, but I think it's a perfect time for a moment of connection with the earth, ourselves, and each other.
Join us for a morning of rejuvenation and relaxation, to fill our buckets before going out into the world and filling others.
Here's the plan:
We'll start off with a grounding exercise that I love: a silent barefoot walk around the park, followed by a recorded Ho’oponopono session. We will then separate to find a tree and spend some time receiving a bit more from nature. Finally, we'll join back together to share and snack a bit. What to Bring:
- Your own snacks and Water (for safety reasons, I don't believe in sharing food that is not prepackaged)
- Journal/Notebook & Pen (if you wish)
- Sunscreen
- Blanket/Yoga Mat (the ground may be wet)
What is Ho'oponopono?
Ho’oponopono is a traditional Hawaiian practice of reconciliation, forgiveness, and restoring harmony. The term itself comes from the Hawaiian words “ho’o,” meaning “to make” and “pono,” meaning “right.” Together, it translates roughly to “to make things right,” symbolizing its role in resolving conflicts and aligning individuals and communities with balance and well-being.
Originally designed as a communal practice to resolve conflicts and restore harmony within Hawaiian families, Ho’oponopono has since transcended geographic boundaries. Through a simple mantra—“I’m sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you, I love you”— one can clear negative emotions and energies, aligning themselves with a deeper sense of self-awareness and unity.
