About us
Come dance with us!
Enjoy the live music scenes to the fullest! Shake it down with a group of ladies who just wanna let loose, be wild and free, feel the rhythms, and dance like no one's watching! This is a non-judgmental, safe space for all women, open to the public, and welcome to anyone who wants to release their stress from the week. Come dance to some great, local, live music! Recommendations welcome!
*** SAFETY NOTICE: We create a safe space for ALL women. Lesbian, queer, trans and non-binary folks are all welcome with me. If we ever go anywhere or anyone makes you feel uncomfortable, please let me know. If any guy is bothering you, come get me or come dance near me, even if I'm in deep mediation dancing, or tell another trusted member of this group. Let's look out for each other, my sisters! ***
Apologies, gentlemen, but this group is for the ladies. If you'd like to be involved in the music scenes, might I suggest the Fox Valley Musicians' Group. I will be cross-promoting with that group to get the word out about these local musicians' gigs! Kindly join this other group, and we'll see you lads out on the dance floor!
Now then!
Where shall we tear it up next?!

Wild Rumpus Dance Party
Artists' Collective of Aurora, 2 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL, USThis is not a "how to dance” class.
This is a "just move your body to the sounds" gathering.
Real, alive musicians will play, and we will dance.
They will follow our lead and increase intensity as we move.
We are co-creating rhythm. No two gatherings will be the same.
We can dance with our eyes closed or open, and no one will invade your space. This is our second event, so we welcome curious, open-minded, consent-conscience, self-aware, trauma-informed people to attend.
All gender expressions are welcome. We do not tolerate the intolerant.
This is a safe place to express emotions -- to laugh, cry, and howl.
Consent is most important -- Do not touch anyone without a verbal, enthusiastic "YES!"
Please don't make anyone feel uncomfortable.
Do not stare, stand too close, or try to engage with people who are processing solo. Please adhere to respectful personal hygiene practices. No BO and no overuse of cologne, patchouli, or other essential oils to respect everyone's olfactory sensitivities.
If you need refreshening supplies, there are some in the bathroom or just let me know.We hope to have many of these events in the future and include many new forms of self-expression. We all dance differently, and all styles are welcome. To see how I personally dance, click the video.
The musicians are paid to be there, so that's why this is not purely donation-based. If you would like to attend and wish to volunteer instead of paying for a ticket, please reach out about volunteer opportunities or on-going work-trades to attend our events at the Collective.
Like a four-year-old dancing to their favorite song, I invite you to come see what this is all about with a joyful, non-judgmental heart. I’m nervous, too. Let’s co-create this experience together.
You can pay in cash or Venmo at the door, or through Eventbrite here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/wild-rumpus-dance-party-registration-1999734362309
Thank you!!! I hope to see all of your faces soon!
