Making friends as an adult shouldn’t be this hard, that’s why we started DFW Young & Social! This group is all about making it easier to meet new people, try new things, and build real connections. No membership fees, no pressure. Just fun, welcoming events where you can show up, be yourself, and connect with great people.

Featured event
Board Games & LAN Midweek Social
Settle in for longer, more involved board games and bring your laptop if you want to game alongside the group.
Every 2nd and 4th Thursday we open the front of house for a night built around mid to heavy weight tabletop games, think Root, Santorini, Ticket to Ride, Res Arcana, Carcassonne, and similar titles that reward a little more time and strategy. We have a 260+ board game library on site including plenty of heavier strategy games, you can see the full list here.
If tabletop is not your thing, bring your own laptop and play some games with others in the room. Come early and stay through the evening, this runs alongside our East Coast Swing Social happening in the back of house starting at 8:30 PM.

Beginner Group Line Dancing Class

Each week, we’ll teach a different line dance, so whether you’re brand new to dancing or just want to learn some new moves, this is the perfect place to start. No partner or experience needed — just bring yourself and a willingness to have fun!

Intermediate Group Line Dance Class (Level 2)

No formal permission is required, but the pace is faster and the dances are more layered, so comfort with foundational patterns and terminology is recommended.No partner needed. Just come ready to focus, move, and continue growing your skills in a supportive environment.

You don’t have to bring a partner! We rotate throughout the classes, so everyone gets plenty of opportunities to dance and meet new people.

The Spellshop | DFW YAS Social Book Club
DFW Young & Social, 2309 Springlake Rd, Suite 600, Farmers Branch, tx, USA rogue librarian, a sentient spider plant, and an illegal spellshop in a sleepy coastal village. What could possibly go wrong?
Join us as we read The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst, a cozy cottagecore fantasy about Kiela, a librarian who flees a revolution with a stack of stolen spellbooks and ends up back on the island where she grew up. Between a nosy and very handsome neighbor who will not stop showing up, a town in desperate need, and the very real threat of death for sharing magic with commoners, Kiela is about to discover that starting over is a lot more complicated than she planned. We will move through the book across three sessions with space for discussion, reactions, and the kind of conversation that only a truly cozy read brings out.
