What we’re about
This group is for all IT professionals, past, present, and future. We are a dedicated group of professionals who love to learn about anything in the broad IT field, and our group is for all skill levels. We host at least one meetup a month where we get together to learn about new technologies, fields, and opportunities. Our guest speakers are full-time professionals who work with cutting-edge technologies and want to share their passions.
Recruiters are always welcome at our events. Networking is a key to success when you are job hunting, so please reach out to any of the organizers with your resume if you would like us to give it to our recruiting partners.

•OnlineRAG IRL: Turn Your Files Into a Searchable “Second Brain” (in One Hour)
OnlineReady to finally make sense of all your PDFs, notes, slides, manuals, and documents? In this hands-on session, you will learn how to build a real Retrieval Augmented Generation system that turns your files into a searchable and intelligent second brain.
In this no-code workshop, you will discover how to upload your files, organize your knowledge, and power it with AI so it can answer questions, summarize content, and help you find exactly what you need in seconds.
What You Will Learn:
- What RAG is and how it improves accuracy and reliability in AI systems
- How to build a searchable AI knowledge base using your own files
- How to upload, chunk, embed, and query documents without writing code
- How to connect your second brain to tools like Neuroscale ARBI for fast insights and structured answers
Why This Session Matters:
Information is everywhere, but finding the right info when you need it is a daily struggle. RAG solves that problem by combining retrieval with generation so your AI can reference real sources instead of guessing. This session gives you practical skills to turn scattered files into a system that thinks with you.
What You Will Take Away:
- A working RAG system powered by your documents
- A personalized second brain that can answer questions clearly and cite sources
- Reusable templates for research, study, onboarding, operations, or content creation
- A toolkit of free or low cost tools you can keep using after the session
