Step into the exciting world of ballroom dance while building confidence, teamwork, and lifelong dance skills in a fun and encouraging environment!

Our Level 1 Youth Ballroom class is designed for dancers ages 10 and up who are new to ballroom dance. Students will learn the fundamentals of partner dancing while exploring a variety of beginning ballroom styles in a positive, structured environment that encourages confidence, respect, and personal growth.

During class, dancers will:
💃 Learn the basic steps and rhythms of beginning ballroom dances
🤝 Develop partner dance fundamentals, including leading, following, teamwork, and dance etiquette
🎵 Build rhythm, musicality, coordination, balance, and body awareness
💜 Gain confidence while strengthening communication and social skills through partner dancing
🌟 Learn choreography while preparing performances for studio showcases and community events throughout the season

At Alegria Performing Arts Academy, we believe every child deserves a joyful place to learn and grow. Our recreational program emphasizes creativity, encouragement, friendship, and a positive learning environment where dancers can build confidence while learning valuable life skills through dance.

Perfect for: Children ages 7 and up who are interested in ballroom dance, enjoy working with others, and want to build confidence while learning exciting new dance styles.

What to Wear: Comfortable clothing that allows for movement and closed-toe shoes that stay securely on the feet. Ballroom shoes are welcome but not required for beginning students.

Help your child discover the joy of singing while building confidence, healthy vocal habits, and a lifelong love of music!

Our Level 1 Voice class is designed for students ages 5 and up who are beginning their vocal journey. Through fun, engaging activities and age-appropriate instruction, young singers will develop foundational vocal skills while building confidence, musicality, and stage presence in a supportive and encouraging environment.

During class, students will:
🎤 Learn beginning vocal technique with an emphasis on healthy singing habits
🌬️ Develop proper breath support, posture, and vocal control
🎵 Strengthen pitch matching, rhythm, musicality, and listening skills
💜 Build confidence through singing, creative expression, and positive performance experiences
🌟 Learn songs while preparing performances for studio showcases and community events throughout the season

At Alegria Performing Arts Academy, we believe every child deserves a joyful place to learn and grow. Our recreational performing arts program emphasizes creativity, encouragement, friendship, and personal growth while helping every student discover the confidence to share their unique voice.

Perfect for: Children ages 5 and up who love to sing, enjoy music, or are interested in building confidence while learning healthy vocal technique in a fun, supportive environment.

What to Wear: Comfortable clothing that allows for movement and proper posture. Bring a water bottle and a positive attitude!

Discover the beauty of movement, emotion, and storytelling through a class designed to build strong technical foundations in modern, contemporary, and lyrical dance.

Our Level 1 Modern, Contemporary & Lyrical class is designed for dancers ages 8 and up who are new to modern dance or looking to strengthen their foundational skills. Whether this is your first experience with the style or you're returning to reinforce your technique, this class provides a supportive environment where dancers can grow in confidence, artistry, and movement quality before applying those skills in performance.

During class, dancers will:
🌿 Build a strong foundation in modern dance technique through age-appropriate instruction
🎵 Develop musicality, body awareness, coordination, and expressive movement
✨ Explore the fundamentals of modern, contemporary, and lyrical movement while learning proper technique and alignment
💜 Build confidence, creativity, and artistry through movement exploration and storytelling
🌟 Learn choreography for our annual Spring Showcase, applying the technical and artistic skills developed throughout the season

At Alegria Performing Arts Academy, we believe every dancer deserves a joyful place to learn and grow. Our recreational program emphasizes creativity, encouragement, friendship, and personal growth while helping dancers discover the emotional and expressive power of movement.

Perfect for: Dancers ages 8 and up who are interested in modern, contemporary, and lyrical dance and want to build a strong technical foundation in a welcoming and encouraging environment.

What to Wear: A leotard with tights, leggings, or other comfortable dance attire that allows for movement. Bare feet or foot undies are recommended unless otherwise instructed. Hair should be securely pulled back away from the face.

🌀 Open Level Youth Break Dance (Ages 4+)

Get ready to move, groove, and build confidence in our high-energy Open Level Youth Break Dance class! Designed for dancers ages 4 and up, this class welcomes both brand-new beginners and students who already have breakdance experience.

Dancers will learn and develop breakdance fundamentals including footwork, freezes, transitions, musicality, coordination, strength, and freestyle. More experienced students will have opportunities to build on their existing skills, work toward more challenging movements, and continue developing their own individual style.

Because this is an open-level class, instruction can be adapted to each dancer’s experience and ability, allowing everyone to be challenged at an appropriate level while learning alongside one another.
Whether your dancer is trying breakdance for the very first time or is ready to take their skills to the next level, this class offers a fun, encouraging, and supportive environment to learn, grow, and express themselves through movement!

What to Wear: Comfortable athletic clothing that allows for movement, clean athletic shoes designated for indoor studio use, and a water bottle. Knee pads are optional but may be helpful for floor work.
