About us
The Dublin Buddhist Centre is part of a world-wide community of Buddhist centres called the Triratna Buddhist Community. We are a not-for-profit charity, and have been teaching Buddhism, meditation and yoga in Dublin since 1990.
Buddhism is a path of practise and spiritual development leading to a liberating insight into the true nature of life. It enables people to fulfill their deepest potential, and to develop the qualities of Wisdom and Compassion.
Our meditation courses look at ways of developing both mindfulness and loving-kindness. These meditation techniques are simple but effective practices drawn from the Buddhist tradition, suitable for anyone to learn and do.
We also offer yoga courses and classes, which will have positive effects on your mind as well as your body. Yoga is a highly effective tool to help calm the mind and body and alleviate stress, leaving you more relaxed and content.
Looking forward to seeing you in our beautiful Buddhist centre!

Alternative Friday Night: An Under-30 Event
Dublin Buddhist Centre, Unit 5, Liberty Corner, James Joyce Street, Dublin D01 N5H6, IEWabi Sabi: The Art of Impermanence
The Japanese sensibility of wabi sabi invites us to find beauty in impermanence and imperfection.
As part of this exploration, bring along something broken, worn, unfinished or meaningful — a piece of clothing, a cup, a work of art, or something that simply captures the theme (and any materials you might need, if possible!).Alternative Friday Night is a relaxed, alcohol-free evening for under-30s who want a different way to spend their Friday night. Instead of drinking and partying, we come together for storytelling, music, and meaningful conversation in a warm, welcoming space.
If you’re aged 18–30 and looking to connect with others, share ideas, listen deeply, or express yourself creatively, this evening is for you. No experience with Buddhism is required — just an openness to conversation and connection.
Join us at the Dublin Buddhist Centre for an informal night of music, stories, and conversations that matter.
Alternative Friday Night runs once a month on a Friday evening. Come as you are, bring a friend, or just drop in and see what unfolds.
All our Under-30 events are offered free of charge but you might consider making a donation to help us to continue to provide these kinds of events.
