Fairfield County Story Lab Writers Meetup Group

Want to get away and write? We get it!! We open the Fairfield County Story Lab to the writing public each Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30. Published, unpublished, wannabes, queen bees—all are invited. All genres welcome. Prompts provided by writer and teacher April Krassner, if you'd like them. Otherwise, feel free to find a cozy spot and do your own thing. $15 suggested donation. You can pay now or pay at the door, whatever works for you. No $$? No worries. Pay what you can afford. Admission benefits scholarships to workshops at the Fairfield County Writers' Studio.

This introductory adventure in person at the Story Lab is your opportunity to learn how to play Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition using the classic 2014 rules. Bring a character created with the Player’s Handbook (2014) using the point buy method, or a pregenerated character can be provided at the table.

New and experienced players welcome. $15, payable at the door. Seats are limited, so claim yours early. If there are fewer than three sign ups by Wed at 12pm, the event will be canceled, so be sure to sign up early, and share the event with your friends.

Dungeon Master Bruce Capua leads the adventure. Bruce is the organizer of Westchester D&D, a Discord community that helps roleplayers in Westchester County meet local players, form in-person groups, and get games to the table. With more than 25 years of experience running role-playing games, Bruce has taught D&D and other RPGs to players of all ages. He runs immersive, high-stakes campaigns where delving dungeons, navigating faction intrigue, and uncovering secrets go hand in hand, while player choices leave lasting marks on the world.

We look forward to seeing you at the table and forging a new legend!
