About us

Calling all romantasy readers! This group is for women looking to talk about their favorite fantasy books and take some quiet time to read. Whether you prefer big names like SJM and Rebecca Yarros or indie authors, everyone is welcome.

This won't be a typical book club where there is one book discussed at each meeting. Bring whatever books you're reading right now to talk about with others. If you haven't read anything but still want to come and talk about theories or just to be in the conversation, please feel welcome to!

As a way to branch out from the Madison area, there will be other events posted here (like book fairs, renaissance faires, or other bookish social events) hosted by other creators or companies. If you know of any bookish or fantasy events happening, feel free to share them in the discussion!

Velaris Wine & Canvas
An ACOTAR Inspired Paint Night

Step into the City of Starlight and for an enchanting evening of art, wine, and magic at Fawn Creek Winery in Wisconsin Dells, WI on Friday, July 17th at 7PM.

Join our High Lady of the Night Court, Feyre, like you’re in the Rainbow at her personal studio as she guides you in painting the dreamy Velaris night sky in this immersive ACOTAR-inspired experience. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or have never picked up a paintbrush, this evening is designed for all skill levels and fantasy lovers alike.

Your $40 ticket includes all painting materials and guided instruction for the evening. Wine, beverages, and snacks will be available for purchase separately through the winery and are not included in the ticket price.

Guests are warmly encouraged to dress as their favorite ACOTAR inspired attire (that you’re okay getting paint on if it happens) and embrace their inner fae for the evening as they our taught by our High Lady, though dressing up is completely optional.
