Escape the city and explore Britain’s beautiful countryside with a warm, inclusive community of nature lovers. Whether you're an experienced hiker or just starting out, you'll find adventure, fresh air, and great company here.
🌱 About Us
Founded in April 2025, we're a group of friends and outdoor enthusiasts who love sharing trails, stories, and a passion for nature. Our goal is to create a respectful, welcoming space where people enjoy hiking together.
🥾 Our Walks
Based in London and the South East, we organise regular hikes between 10 and 20 miles. Our routes explore scenic trails, ancient woodlands, rolling hills, and the occasional muddy field. Some walks are relaxed and beginner-friendly, while others offer a more challenging adventure, testing your stamina, focus, and love of the outdoors. Whether you're new to hiking or keen to push your limits, you're welcome to join us.
🗺️ Hike Guides
Our hikes are led by experienced volunteers who have spent years exploring trails across Britain and beyond. While not formally qualified, they plan and pre-walk every route to make your day safe, enjoyable, and memorable.
🤝 About the Leadership Team
This group is managed by a team of leaders who work collaboratively and hold each other accountable. All key decisions that shape how the group is run, and how it impacts its members, are made collectively. We believe in shared responsibility, fairness, and putting the group’s best interests first.

- FREE HIKE 17km - The Royal Coastline - Deal Castle to Dover CastleDeal Rail Station, CT14 6HD
SUMMARY:
🥾 17 km | Linear Walk | Ascent: 335 m | Duration: ~ 5 hours
📍 Start: Deal train Station at 10:40
🚆 Direct trains from London St Pancras International
🏁 Finish: Dover approx. 16:00-17:00
⚠️ Coastal cliffs & Uneven terrain
📈 Grade: Easy/ModerateABOUT:
This linear walk offers breathtaking panoramic views of the English Channel, the iconic White Cliffs of Dover, multiple coastlines, historical landmarks, and the beaches of Kent. The route is well served with cafés, tea rooms, and public toilets. We begin at Deal railway station and conclude at a pub near Dover Priory railway station.DESCRIPTION:
The walk begins in the historic town of Deal. We head towards the seafront to see Deal Pier, which, at 311 metres, is one of only a few piers in Kent and is coincidentally the same length as the RMS Titanic. Shortly afterward, we arrive at Deal Castle, an impressive Tudor artillery fort built by Henry VIII as part of a chain of coastal defences. We then follow the beach and promenade, passing Walmer Castle and Gardens, another of Henry VIII’s coastal forts, now known for its beautifully maintained grounds and historical significance. The Duke of Wellington once lived and died here while serving as Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports.
Continuing along the coastline, we pass through Kingsdown, a charming seaside village, and ascend towards the Dover Patrol Memorial. This prominent obelisk was designed by Sir Aston Webb and commemorates the Royal Navy’s Dover Patrol, which protected the Channel during World War I.
Our route then leads us to St Margaret’s Bay, a picturesque coastal village where we stop for lunch. Here, you'll find the former holiday home of Ian Fleming, author of the James Bond novels. It is a white house with distinctive green shutters overlooking the bay.
After lunch, we begin our scenic chalk clifftop walk along the White Cliffs of Dover, offering sweeping views of the English Channel. On a clear day, you may even spot the cliffs of France. This stretch of coastline played a key defensive role in both World Wars.
We pause for a short break at the South Foreland Lighthouse, a National Trust site and the first lighthouse to use electric light. The views from here are spectacular and provide a great photo opportunity.
We then continue along the cliff path, enjoying stunning vistas of the Port of Dover, Dover Castle, and the striking white cliffs that have become a symbol of Britain's maritime heritage. Our walk concludes at a welcoming pub close to Dover Priory railway station, where we can relax and reflect on the day’s journey.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Deal Castle – A Tudor artillery fort built by Henry VIII, right on the seafront.
- Walmer Castle and Gardens – Historic residence with beautifully maintained gardens; once home to the Duke of Wellington.
