We are bringing back Friday Night Lights at Black Miners Bar at Lake Natoma, Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. Come on out for a sunset paddle on Friday nights and bring your waterproof Christmas lights! Kayakers and paddle boarders will congregate on the water just before sunset. This is a nice chance to meet other people and make new friends while taking in the beauty of California from Lake Natoma.

Kayakers and paddle boarders! Grab those waterproof Christmas lights and come on down to Black Miners Bar at Lake Natoma, Folsom Lake State Recreation Area! This location is off Greenback Ln on the Orangevale side of the River. Drive into the park at about 6 pm. The sunset is at 8:15 pm this Friday night. Unload your vessels, park in the upper lot and decorate your floats and boats.
We will have a great time meeting new people and making a splash! Wear off the stress of the week in the beauty of nature on Friday nights. Let’s show them our lights Sacramento!

There is a public bathroom at the park, but boat rentals are closed. This is a BYOV (Bring your own vessel) event. You may choose to bring a floating picnic or drink. That is up to you! Water safety is your responsibility. There are no life guards on duty. Parking is $10

Greetings Sacramento kayakers and paddlers boarders! Come on down for a wonderful day at Black Miners Bar at Lake Natoma at Folsom. We will be enjoying nature from the water and discovering hidden lagoons and paddling under the bridges at Lake Natoma. Come make a splash and make some new friends!
We will meet at the boat ramp at the bottom of the hill at 9:30 am, and we will take off at 10 am from there. Please bring liquids and a picnic lunch if desired.
The front gate is $10 and there is a public bathroom on site.
If you desire to rent a paddleboard or kayak, go to the Black Miners Bar rentals which is just down the road from the parking lot. You can paddle over to the boat ramp area from there. It’s very easy. Please allow for extra time if renting. Rentals are $15-20 per hour.
I will be in the red, white and blue kayak with the pirate flag on the back. There will be a flag for Friday Night Lights at the boat ramp, so you know you’re in the right place.

Hey y’all! Let’s go the fair!
The Fair is back for a limited time only, and this is the last day to go! We can get there in the morning, before the heat at 10 am. We can meet at the front gate. Please allow a little extra time for parking at the giant lot.
Bring your hats and sunscreen folks, it’s going to be a sunny time! We can walk around all day seeing whats what, going on rides, eating delicious fair food, seeing the animals and doing whatever we want.
There is a concert that starts at 8 pm called En Vogue. The concert is an additional $45. This is the last day of the California State Fair, so it is supposed to be a big show. You are free to leave the fair when you’re ready to go. There is no pressure to stay for the concert as well, but there will be a few who stay for the show.

- Sunset PaddleNimbus Flat Recreation Area, Gold River, CA
Greetings Sacramento kayakers and paddlers boarders! Come on down for a wonderful evening at Nimbus Flat Recreation Area. We will be enjoying nature from the water and discovering hidden lagoons at Lake Natoma. Nothing is better than the sunset from the water! Grab those waterproof Christmas lights, and show us your colors!
We will meet at the boat ramp at Nimbus Flat Recreation Park at 6 pm and take off from there at 6:30. Nimbus Flat is one light before the Aquatic Center on Hazel at Highway 50. The front gate is $10 and there is a public bathroom on site.
If you desire to rent a paddleboard or kayak, go to the Aquatic Center extra early for $15 per hour. You can paddle over to the boat ramp area from there. It’s very easy.
