About us
This group is for people in the Frisco/Allen/Little Elm/Plano area to enjoy the hobby of board gaming together! This group was made for casual players and hobbyists. Our group tends to be in their 20's and 30's but certainly not a restriction. The more the merrier!
Code of conduct:
- Don’t be a dick. Respect others. Don't make the organizer of the event moderate
- Treat game components with care, especially not your own
- Support our meetup venues and respect their rules (e.g. no vaping inside)
Repeated violation of the code, will result in removal from the gorup and you will be asked to leave.
What to Expect
Games start promptly so try to arrive on time but unlike other groups, if you are 5 minutes late you won't be waiting 3 hours to join the next game. The first game will be a larger social/party to allow members to socialize. The game lasts ~30-45 minutes to allow for arrival delays due to traffic, weather, or chronic lateness (we all know those people). After the intro, players will split into smaller groups to play more targeted games as determined by nomination & votes by players.
If you arrive after the intro game has ended and we've already split out, we will try to place you in a game, but we can't guarantee there will be a spot.
Costs of the Group
There are no costs to join the group or attend Meetups. The costs of the Meetup and venue are covered by your organizers.
Support the Group
There are several ways you can support the group:
- Write a comment/review/rating of what you liked about the group
- Invite your friends and spread the word!
- Donate to the Organizer via Venmo
Event Organizer
If our events aren't scratching your board gaming itch, ask the organizer to make you an event. Got a new game? Host an event! Designed a new game? Beta-test event! Manage a local business? Host the event at your place! Bored? Impromptu event!
Important Reminders
- While RSVPs are important, attendance is take retroactively and used to gauge future interest. The number of players greatly affects which games are brought and played and gives new members an idea of what to expect. Please keep your RSVPs accurate and avoid last-minute changes.
