About us
We're old, we're slow, get over it.
If you're looking to leap out of bed at 7am and power-walk while obsessively tracking calories burned per hour, congratulations, you're in the wrong place. Please see yourself out.
But if you're looking to peel your tukus off the couch and hike alongside people who know exactly what "be kind, rewind" means (and still feel a flicker of rage about late fees), then welcome home.
We do 2–5 miles at a pace best described as "leisurely with snack breaks," soaking in the scenery around Geauga County. Pace is set by whoever has to pee first. We hike at the speed of nostalgia. We rewound cassettes with a pencil, taped songs off the radio while cursing the DJ who talked over the intro, and rode in the way-back of the station wagon. A little hiking isn't going to kill us. Probably. Eventually we'd like to do one hike a week, assuming our knees cooperate and nobody's got a thing that day.
