About us
Our social meet-ups take place throughout the week, meaning that no matter how busy your schedule is, you’ll be able to find a time that suits you. You can find more information about the different times our meet-ups are held on our events page. The meet-up itself is hosted at GSM Tables, which is a café and pub that has been designed to facilitate language-based social events. Check out our gallery to see just how much fun the participants in our language meet-ups end up having.
The most popular age group for participants in our language meet-ups are people in their 20s and 30s. You don’t have to be fluent in your target language; as a matter of fact, we offer dedicated tables according to your level, running the gamut from beginner right the way through to advanced.
Typically, about 70% of our guests are native Koreans, with the remaining 30% being made up of internationals in the same situation as you. This has turned out to be the perfect mix for introducing foreigners to the way social life takes place in Korea. You’ll get the opportunity to meet friendly faces from all over the world in a straightforward, stress-free environment. After all, who doesn’t like hanging out with their friends for a cup of coffee or a beer?

Servus Leute! Jeden Mittwoch um 19 Uhr findet das Deutsch-Koreanische Sprachaustausch-Treffen in "GSM TABLES" statt.
Komm vorbei! 😊—————————————
My name's Jon :) I've been coming to this group since the summer of 2025. I've indeed been studying German for a bit before joining here.
But surely my German speaking started from the absolute basics ("Hallo Ich heiße Jon…") to now, where I can have conversations to some degree, thanks to the German Meetup group here in GSM!
So yes, my German speaking is not so fluent yet, but I'll continue to learn and practice German, hopefully reaching to the point as good as my English & Korean!
Here are some of the things that you could expect from coming to the German Meetup group!
🌟 Amazingly Supportive People
- Probably my main reason for continuing to study German would be this. The newcomers coming here, and those who become regular members, are very friendly and supportive. Supportive of what? Perhaps German & Korean Learning would be the first answer, but in general, we support each other's goals and ideas :) ✨
Wir helfen uns gerne gegenseitig :) ✨🌟 It's not just about German & Korean Language Exchange!
I would usually see people coming here, getting to know each other more than just "studying" German & Korean. The combination of getting to know German & Korean languages, and cultures surrounding them, is definitely fun and interesting to talk about.
- The pictures of me that I have posted here are actually the pictures taken from the 2026 New Year Celebration Party! As friends from the German Meetup group, we had such a great time! We also had a Christmas Party, so you could definitely look forward to those kinds of spontaneous events! ✨
The meeting takes place every Wednesday at 7 PM at GSM Tables.
Let's learn German and Korean together and make great friends! 😄
Hopefully I'll see you guys there! Thanks :)🌟Spaß-Events!
Also kannst du mehr Spaß-Events erwarten.
Danke :DTickets Here: https://globalseoulmates.com/events/Gangnam/next/js-gemtliches-deutschtreffen

Description
What Kind of Lesson Is This?
The best way to learn to speak Korean is through repetition. By practicing common phrases and the building blocks of the language over and over again with a native speaker, you’ll be creating a solid foundation for mastering spoken fluency of the language.
Classes are one on 1 with a student and a teacher, although if there’s another student on your level, you’ll be able to participate in a 1 to 2 class, giving you even more exposure to the spoken language.▶️LEVEL: We offer nine distinct levels, spanning learning the Korean alphabet and studying advanced news articles.
▶️TEXTBOOK: Talk to Me in Korean textbooks are provided, and you can also bring your learning content to the class.
▶️TEACHERS: All our teachers are Korean natives. Think of them as your personal language trainer, pushing you further and further to reach your goals.
Our Philosophy
This class isn’t just about learning the Korean language. It’s about training your skills, just like you would in a dojo. That’s why it’s called the Korean Gym. It’s a more hands-on approach to tackling the language, allowing you to start practicing immediately. Our teachers are more like personal trainers than lecturers, adept at pushing you to start learning the language immediately rather than spending hours buried in books. You don’t need any prior Korean to join this class: it’s open to everybody. We have nine levels, ranging from the basics of the alphabet to advanced news articles in Korean.
Because of the practical nature of our Korean gym training sessions, our students can jumpstart their Korean education. We prioritize practical use of the language, so you’ll be able to talk with Korean people sooner rather than later, giving you a massive advantage when learning the culture and familiarizing yourself with your new home.
How the Lessons Work
Your job is to show up to the class and read the opening paragraph of the lesson. From there, your trainer will guide you through quizzes and drills designed to build a firm understanding of the language from the very first minute. The best way to learn a new subject is to participate in the lesson actively — that’s why we train our students to ask questions proactively rather than sit and passively listen. As far as we’re concerned, there’s no such thing as a wrong question. This can be quite a difference from the previous language classes you may have taken, but our students consistently tell us what a fantastic way it is to learn.
Training yourself to ask questions even when you feel nervous or self-conscious is vital. Although it’s not accessible to everybody, practicing it safely is the best way to pick up the habit. The skills you learn in our Korean gym sessions will make all the difference, and adopting a proactive approach to learning will help you in any other educational opportunities you want to pursue.
Our trainers know how overwhelming the Korean language can seem to people trying to pick it up for the first time. An entire new alphabet can be terrifying, not to mention the grammar structure and the extensive vocabulary. They keep all this in mind as they walk you through the lessons, which means you’ll be able to expose yourself to the Korean language in a friendly, open environment.
Post-Workout Language Meet-Up
After your Korean gym session, you can join us in a social language exchange. Between 30 and 70 people will meet and bond over drinks, typically speaking Korean or English, though Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese are among the other languages offered. It’s the perfect way to get your feet wet in Korean culture and make some new friends — and best of all, it’s included in the Korean gym ticket price! How Do I Join?
Taking part in the Korean gym program couldn’t be easier. All you have to do is find the date and location most convenient to you and then pre-book with the Korean trainer who will best match you. If there aren’t any trainers currently available, there’s no need to worry: you can book anyway, and we’ll pair you up with one of the many friendly & experienced trainers we have on standby.Book your tickets here:
