What we’re about
This group is all about hiking with dogs! We mostly hike in the Sacramento foothills or high sierra east of Sac. We try to find places where the dogs can be off-leash responsibly. We limit the number of dogs that are allowed to join to keep the energy levels manageable and to make it easier to be off leash. We are not a fast paced hiking group. We take our time, enjoy the view, take pictures, chat and generally have a good time!
We do not allow dogs with prong collars or shock collars to attend our hikes.
We also do not allow dogs that are unaltered. All dogs must be spayed/neutered.
All hikers must clean up after their dog, pack it in-pack it out.

See all- Wrights Lake - 4 milesWrights Lake Campground, kyburz, CA
We will meet at the Wrights Lake campground day use area, then take the trail about 3/4 of the way around the lake. There is an option to take the trail to Beauty Lake and back but I may not do that part. Will decide when we are out there. Might also go up the trail towards grouse ridge to check out the granite flats. We will start on leash, the let the dogs play off leash as trail conditions permit (other hikers, kids, dogs etc.)
Directions: This map link will take you to Wrights lake: https://goo.gl/maps/d7UsGpnjpfsThe campground is to the right when you come up to the lake, there will be signs for the campground.
